These plates are wonderful! They are fairly flat with a raised border, so juicy foods retain the juices--they don't pool in the center of the plate. I love the simplicity of the white china with the cobalt blue borders. The bottom of the plates is somewhat textured, so they don't go sliding all over the place when I stack them in the cupboard. Because they're heavy china, food tends to cool quickly on them; but a minute or so in a 100-degree oven heats them enough so they help retain the heat of the food--great for corn on the cob! They are a great buy!

We like these plates. We had an earlier, very similar version of these Dansk Bistro plates for over thirty years. They needed replacing, and we found this nearly identical plate by Dansk. We're happy. Good basic designs can be continued forever.
