24-Hours 18" Collection Model Airplane Statue Scale 1 130 Airplane Model American Airlines Boeing 787 with LED Light(Touch or Sound Control) for Decoration or Gift

This review concerns the 1/130 Boeing 787 with on board interior lighting. I recieved my aircraft today and I am very happy with it. The model is packaged very nicely with Both wings, rear stabilizers and landing gear assemblies individually packed within a soft plastic clear shell. Comes in a nice box with small oval shaped window and Boeing written on it. Included is a wooden stand with attaching screw on the fuselage and one charging cable for the battery within the fuselage. Also a set of instructions is included.Assembling it took rougly less than ten minutes. My version, American Airlines, looks awesome. The model itself, once assembled, is roughly the size of Skymarks 1/100 scale 737. At 1/130 scale, it's a decent sized replica of the Boeing aircraft. The lighting function is fairly basic. Once fully charged ( by USB port ) the model lights up. Only the interior lighting, including the cockpit light up. Its pretty bright and lends itself to creating a more creative static display model. Lights are activated by touch or sound.Assembly went very smoothly, but still suggest patience when doing so. Parts fit as excellent with no need to force things along for fit. Landing gear assembly was easy enough. Tires are rubber more or less. Once on the stand, aircraft looks pretty amazing. Only detail not correct is the gear swing down so typical of commercial aircraft after takeoff and once gear is deployed for landing.Graphics on mine are clear, crisp and sharp. The general body characteristics of the 787 are indeed incorporated within the model for accuracy. The wings rise up from the wing roots to tip. That beautiful nose of the aircraft is perfect in my opinion. The engines are nicely done as far as shape. The main fan blades do rotate, but not easily when blower upon.Only things I'd had done differently were to add navigation and nose gear taxi lights. I also would dim the cabin lights slightly as they're a little too bright, but still beautiful regardless. Model retails here on Amazon for $149.99. Is it worth that much? Yes. Simular type snap models retail for far more, but offer less detail, no lighting affects etc. If you're into commercial aviation or have a particular commercial jet you like, then these models are very nice in my humble opinion. Even without the lighting feature, this model can easily retail at or above Amazons fetching price.There are numerous types of aircraft available. Like the 777, 747, A380 etc. With various airlines. A version of Air Force One is also available. I cannot attest to reliability of lighting system, but it appears decent enough. Overall, it is a very nice model and the company manufacturing them can take great pride in their efforts for having created a functional internal lighting system on a display model. At this point, I highly recommend these models. ✈

Purchased for my son for his 14th Birthday…. He was over the moon!!! He is an airplane enthusiast & he was well pleased- so was I!🙂

I received the B787 American Airlines in a box that was twice the size of the model with NO protection inside. As a result the 2 wings with engines and the 2 stabilizer were loose in the plastic packaging shell. In addition the color of the fuselage was a blueish grey not consistent with the picture shown or the real AA livery color.I returned the item and got a refund from Amazon without difficulty. I own 2 24-Hour 18in 1:130 models: Delta B747 and Air France A380. I have been very happy with those two. I am disappointed as aI really wanted the B787...

Don’t get me wrong, I love this model. The interior lights are so awesome. I couldn’t help but laugh when we noticed the star alliance decal on this AA plane instead of the OneWorld livery.
