Fit 2003 Jetta
Fit perfectly in a 2003 Jetta GLS. No installation instructions but it was pretty easy to figure out.

Obtain oem hardware if you can
Easy to install although I had the oem clip nuts. This armrest comes with bolts and locknuts.. which would prove to be a challenge for anyone who has sausage fingers

Looks like a kid decided to do the metal work
Very poorly made, doesn’t even fit together using their parts and tools, the metal is cut like crap, the holes for the bolts wasn’t even finished metal shavings everywhere. Parts don’t even fit together to hold the arm rest that is made from plastic like oem nothing wrong with it but mounting parts are just trash.

Kinda chintzy... Cheap innards... Feels fragile.
This unit "fits" my 2002 beetle TDI OK. But, there are gaps all around the base that there's just no way to cover (see photos). It was fairly easy to install, and comes with the full bracket, in case yours is broken. I didn't need the base, only the armrest itself, but I could certainly see how it would be very handy for those whose bracket is broken or missing. Howev, this thing is NOT heavy duty... it's not even medium duty. It's pretty flimsy and I can't see it lasting very long. With all that said... It looks ok. It's certainly better than the broken one I had. But I probably would not recommend it if you have the money to spend on OEM parts, or have a nearby salvage yard that has one.

Not plug and play, happy overall
This works fine, had to make small modifications to make it work with the stock base. Bolt holes did not line up, and were not centered on the center piece. It took a while to get here. Overall happy with it
