I got these for my Mom who wanted warm, comfortable, waterproof no fancy boots to wear in snow, slush, and rain. After looking at baffins, sorels, columbias and such, I came across these. They seem more city appropriate than some other winter snow boots. Still, I was expecting to get something if not as bulky and heavy as columbia-baffins but similar, I mean there is nothing super dressy or stylish on the picture, they look casual. Oh well, when I opened the box I was shocked. I though I got the wrong size. They looked so tiny, almost miniature, and dressier than they appear on the picture. I put them on (expecting the worst), and I was shocked again, they fit! I got size 8.5/39 and I wear 8.5/39 Medium, and they fit perfect, like custom made. There is no room for heavy socks but they are fur lined and warm. They won't fit if you have wide width, or you like to be able to wiggle your toes, and if you want to wear extra socks. You should order a size larger then. My Mom wears 8 and I am glad I got 8.5 for her, her foot is shorter but wider than mine. I should have ordered 9. But if you have problems finding boots that don't make your feet appear 5 sizes larger, get these. They are very neatly made, size 8.5 visually looks like 6-7, though they do run true to size. They are very well made and extremely comfortable too. And another thing, I ordered brown and later on I noticed that some pictures here and on other websites show boots more reddish than brown, and there was such a big color difference between leather and suede part of the boot, it did not look good. There was nothing to worry about. They are very pretty dark chocolate brown, no red undertones, and suede matches leather perfectly. If I did not have boots I would order these for myself as well even though I wear more dressier styles, but I love these! A steal at $40! A very nice surprise, indeed.

RUNS BIG (not just a little big)
I am usually a size 5.5-6, so that is the size I originally ordered (size 36). This was too big, even with thick socks on. So I ordered a size 35, the smallest size available. With thick socks on, they still don't feel snug. I hope they done stretch out/ compact down to the point that they don't fit because they are super comfortable and warm and I would like to wear them on all my cold and wet business travel to Europe and Canada.

a nice surprise
I ordered a different pair of boots at the same time I ordered these with the intention of keeping the best fitting pair and returning the other. I ended up keeping these because, in comparison to the other boots, I was surprised by the comfort creature features for the price ($44.06)...easy on and off with the inside zipper, fully lined, warm for the icy, sub zero, morning drives to work (takes a while for my car heater to warm the floor wells)...and great looking with jeans or casual pants. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5, because my prescription orthotics didn't fit. Instead of my orthotics, I use the Superfeet premium insoles for women (pink ones). Great boots...nice surprise.

Surprise!!
Oh my word!! Just like all the other reviews...I was oh so surprised. I hesitated, for days- to order these, but boy am I glad I did. They are SO WARM...COMFORTABLE.... true to size. (I'm size 11)I wore them to work today....it was raining and they kept my feet dry and toasty. They may not look as 'trendy' or what not but trust me I am VERY satisfied. They actually look better in person- that online.Sooooooo glad I got these.UPDATE: A few weeks in and I'm still wearing these shoes every single day! They are the best for these winter days.LOVE LOVE LOVE

Gorgeous boot, runs small
Beautifully made for the price, very dressy looking, and I love that they are fairly small and graceful for a snow boot instead of big and clumpy. Also extremely comfortable - I like that they have decent arch support and the sole is thin and flexible enough that you can feel where you are walking, yet padded and thick enough to be comfortable and protective. The one thing to note is they do run small - I usually wear a 40-41, and took a 42 in these.

These boots are beautiful, very comfortable
These boots are beautiful, very comfortable, and I love them. As was said in a couple previous reviews, they run a little small. I ordered a 9, although I usually wear 8.5 .I'm glad I sized up a half, because they are just a little snug--not too much. They feel really good, but you wouldn't wear them all day. Just to advise--size up at least 1/2. I wore these yesterday in the snow and really liked wearing them.

Love these shoes
I love these shoes. I have a bad back, fusion to lower back. I have back pain and difficulty walking long distances. I am an attorney and my office is 5 blocks from the courthouse. I used to wear tennis shoes and swap shoes once I got to court but I wanted shoes I could wear all day and not have increased back pain.These shoes are very comfortable. I ordered the same size I always wear and they fit great, even with thick socks. They are perfect for cold, snowy days, and kept my feet warm. I also walk the 5 blocks to and from court, stood for 20 minutes during a status conference, and had no increase in back pain. I felt like I could walk further.The shoes are also a lot nicer than they appear on the website. They are very nice and dressy. I can wear them with my pants suits and you can't tell they are boots. I love these shoes and would recommend them to everyone, especially those with back pain.

So Far So Good
I have not tried it in snow since New York hasn't gotten any snow yet. As soon as I tried it, my feet felt the softness and warmness the boots provides. I just hope it will continue to provide that warmth when when i walk it in snow. It is also not bulky which makes me feel confident in having control over it when it's slippery out there.
