Yes it is. You will need to connect the wire provided from your ignition to the renogy. All very simple. People are a little scared or nervous. Good luck. Great device.

does this work as a battery monitor also with the Bluetooth module or would you have to purchase a battery monitor separately?

Hi yeah this monitors the batteries if connected to either solar or mains charger it does prioritise Aux battery 1st so need to make sure that battery is reasonably charged first, as it pulls 50amps charge so if your only pushing in 20amp to Main battery it will flatten main battery then recharge it after aux battery is charged there’s an accessory Bluetooth BT-02 unit available separately £25 direct from Renogy that connects to your phone to show what’s happening hope this helps

can i connnect shore power to this unit to run the camper and to charge the batteries ?

No there is no option for shore power/240V you would have to connect to a 240v/12v charger.

If you search on google for the manual for this device, it gives reccomendations for cable gauge based on cable length used. It will also give fuse ratings.

Amazing piece of kit

Gone the full Renogy set up and this dc to dc charger and mppt is absolutely quality. For the money it’s hands down cheaper than buying them seperate and with the Bluetooth connection you have everything you need.

Faulty products

Purchased this item after changing my solar van system & replacing battery with lithium. Unable to get system to register Solar charge. After completely replacing all wires, terminals, connectors, fuses etc & getting multimeter readings to point of contact with controller, it seemed the controller was at fault as all other issues for troubleshooting where address & replaced. Renogy replaced item after 3months of me trying to get to the bottom of the issue. However, replacement had exactly same issue. I have spent MONTHS trying to sort all this out & now find they will not refund as from a third party seller. I am so annoyed as this is a very expensive purchase to just waste so much time & money on & not get it fixed. Just rubbish!

Important info missing!

No mention of the solar voltage limit in the listing. My panel p creating 33v puts the unit into fault and causes it to be useless. I bought it ages ago so unable to return. Do not buy unless you are certain your panels will not provide over 30v. (Very low)

Dc to dc controller 30amp

Well this bit of kit will not work if pv voltage is over 25v, I will put unit in fault and it will not charge on solar or dc to dc, wast of money, I recommend a 20amp mppt that has a 100v input from pv panel and use a smart charger relay in stead of the dc to dc unit
