Ispaghula Husk Orange is a bulking agent and is an excellent source of water-soluble fibre. A food supplement with a pleasing orange flavour.

Bleeding Haemorrhoids
If you don't have bleeding haemorrhoids you might want to skip this review!I had bleeding internal haemorrhoids for a long time, so bad that on occasions the blood penetrated through my pants and trousers. Often the toilet water would be red with blood as well and I could hear the blood dripping in to the bowl. I was bleeding so regularly that my iron levels dropped and I nearly couldn't donate blood last time I went (it happens to women who have heavy periods, but I'm a bloke!). I finally went to the GP again as it had got worse, and he put these on the prescription along with suppositories. But we thought it was probably going to need an operation.I started taking between 1 and 3 of these a day, depending on roughly how much fiber I got from my food sources (e.g. if I didn't eat much fiber from my food one day, I'd take 3 of these to make up for it). I also took the suppositories for a week and did all the things on the NHS website: improved my diet (I have an almost total junk food ban now), increased exercise (gym + running), limited my time sitting on the toilet (and never strain), and limited my time sitting down in general. It's wasn't easy but the reward continues to spur me on: the bleeding stopped within 2 days of these changes. It's now been over a month without a single bleeding episode whatsoever. It was nearly every day before, and as soon as I started taking these plus made the other changes, the problem has stopped almost overnight. Considering how bad my bleeding was, I really didn't think it would stop, so I am very happy. The role I believe the husk plays is it softens the poo. I noticed it "slips out" with little friction and therefore doesn't aggravate any haemorrhoids you may have. I highly recommend these, so did the GP. I do believe they make a difference. It saved me from having to wear nappies to catch the blood or have an operation (at least for now anyway!)

Does the job to encourage body waste to vacate.
I’ve never used a laxative before and was wary. However, after 6 days of constipation something needed to be done. I mixed and drank a sachet at tea time and the next morning I had a feeling of needing to empty my bowels. There was no rush to toilet, no stomach cramps or anything unpleasant apart from an Abundance of flatulance before and after my toilet deposit, which was a pain free experience. I recommend these for sure.

Ok but branded ones are better
Unbranded product. Not as good taste as the branded ones - orange not that strong and feels but thick and dusty to drink. Mixes ok but have to drink very quick or thickens to much. But if you need this it works - but would buy branded one next time.

Steer clear.
Due to medication I suffer from constipation, my medicine of choice is Fybogel I realised late on Friday that I had run out. Amazon.couldnt get me any for nearly a week, so I bought Isbuhula. Big mistake, it's thick unpalatable not a patch on FybogelI'd rather treat the constipation by other means. AWFUL

Much better than I thought!
Gosh I was nervous about drinking this incase it made me dash for the toilet - through sick or other end! However neither - in a great way! It gave me a cleanse (use your imagination) twice - but no cramps, no dash for the loo, just soft stools. I did drink it with more water than suggested to avoid the “thick” element other reviews mentioned - and so far so very good! I will continue using to aid digestion and ultimately support a new fitness regime for weight loss.
