A good collection of authentic boogie-woogie pianists must include the holy trinity - Albert Ammons, Meade "Lux" Lewis, and Pete Johnson. They are here, but not identified on the individual tracks, which is unnecessarily irritating.

The foundation. The classics of Boogie Woogie.
These are the original masterpieces of Boogie Woogie, played by the artists who created them. If you only own one boogie woogie recording, you won't go wrong with this one.

This album delivers what you are seeking.
Like boogie-woogie music? The best players are all assembled in this album. It will make you wish that boogie-woogie clubs would open the way they do in Denmark. Great break from soft rock, classic rock, and hard rock.

Five Stars
Boogie woogie is the roots of modern rock music: was invented in Texas at middle of 1800. To hear.

Boogie Woogie Giants
For those who collected the old 78 speed 10 inch records like I did in the 40's, "Boogie Boogie Giants" should be a nostalgic treat. The list of music titles doesn't show the players names, which could be slightly disapointing to listeners who don't recognize the the numbers or the styles of the the different performers. But it is a great collection for happy listening, and well worth the price. Those "Giants" were models for me as a 14 year old Boogie piano player.
