I use these bulbs to light a display of glass/cryltal figurines. These are the right whiteness for the job.

I am the last person who wants to drag in a ladder from the garage to take out dead bulbs and replace them. I read the reviews for some of the cheaper ones and I just didn't feel like the savings would offset another trip up the ladder.I've had other identical Philips halogen bulbs in other fixtures (in tall vaulted ceilings) for over ten years and they are still (gratefully) still burning.Thanks!PS. I can't find these at my big box hardwares stores so get plenty so you're ready when one does go out.

When they're working, these are fine as temporary replacement bulbs. But they do not last, and I wouldn't purchase again. In a pack of six bulbs, not a single one has lasted more than two months.

I have these bulbs throughout my house, and they are great.Pros:• Very bright when you turn the dimmer all the way up• Very dim when you turn the dimmer all the way down• Pleasantly warm-colored, especially when the dimmer is turned downCons:• They use more wattage than LED lightsI was recently trying to replace some of these bulbs with LED equivalents. However, after several attempts I was unable to find any LED bulbs that matched the warmth and dimming range of these bulbs. I guess I'll be sticking with halogen bulbs for now.

Exactly what needed for my kitchen under the counter lighting...without having to go around store after store to find it - great job amazon!
