PlayWheels Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Roller Skates with Knee Pads, Junior Size 6-12

Much like the other one star reviews, I too experienced only having one complete buckle and one incomplete buckle. The complete buckle has a loose part to it (what was missing in the other buckle). I have written the company to see if there are any spare loose bits that can be obtained to make the skates usable. It is odd to me that there would be such a design flaw where the entire utility of the skates would depend on one small (thumbnail sized) piece that is in no way secured to the skates, especially since this is a toy for children.I am attaching pictures including of the crucial, yet tiny, piece.

First of all, I have never in my life completed a product review, but this experience was so bad I had to start. I ordered these for my son and a different pair for my daughter early in the summer for their late August birthdays. We just got them out tonight and the latch that holds the strap in isn't even attached! He opened his present and one of the latches fell out. The other wasn't even there!!! His sister's had Velcro straps, so were fine, but a three year old doesn't understand that some products are CRAP! He was screaming and I was scrambling trying to figure out a way to make his "skaters" work for the night until I can get him to Target tomorrow for a different pair. I wanted to cry for him. I ended up poking a hole in the strap and using a bunch of my daughter's hair ties and a zip strip to get it to hold for this one time. I understand that this is an inexpensive product, but I remember learning to skate on something similar and my parents weren't breaking out the zip strips to make it work! And since I ordered their presents as I could afford them, it's been too long for me to return them! And I have a trip to Target in my future! What a waste!

These skates were so cute and my son (3.5) was very excited to receive them. They adjusted easily to fit his foot and he was able to skate around right away. Now for the bad part about these skates...they have small plastic pieces that are needed to secure the skate to his foot. (Why sell toddler aged children a toy that requires keeping track of small pieces?!) With that being said, my son was only able to skate once before playing with the skates and losing the piece needed to keep the skate on. I purchased the Trolls version for my daughter at the same time. Those skates have a Velcro strap that secures the skate to her foot. That design makes sense for a toddler! It also provides a greater size range to accommodate different sized children's feet.

I'm very disappointed in purchasing this without reading the reviews first cuz I had the same issues as the others about the straps breaking.. this item is almost 20 bucks for something I could purchase elsewhere.. the only reason I gave it a star is becuz my son loves it even tho the straps don't work and it keeps falling off him... I think u guys should test the products first before selling it to consumers...

This makes the second time I have ordered this item to replace and the second time parts were missing I don't know about the assembly line putting these Gates together but now two of my grandchildren has Gates and the third one doesn't I will not order this item again but this makes the second time it's come back was parts missing the clip 2 supposed to hold the strap in when they skate is missing it's the same as it was with the other set on both sides but on these Gates on one side

Broken on arrival, and I am glad. After seeing these and the garbage that they are, I would not reorder. I am glad the clip was broken on arrival so I dont have to pay return shipping. These are not worth more than a few bucks. Dont waste your time.

The tab was broken off one of the skates, and even the one that is intact doesn't stay secure. The straps are also very short. And of course they were a birthday present opened two days after I am able to return

I'm very disappointed one of the skates was missing the piece that holds the strap in. The other side the piece won't stay in. I realize these are cheap kids skates. But I thought they would at least work for a bit.
