Excellent webcam
I've tried several webcams in the past few months. Always hoping to find "the one", always tricked by the bold titles and fancy keywords. Some of them are good but expensive, some others cheap but not good, and a few both trash and expensive. This particular camera is excellent, because it combines both good quality picture and a great price. For only $30 you get:-- high definition image quality with good brightness and nice colors-- Auto-focus. Let me say that again: auto-focus-- built-in microphone.-- Privacy shield for when you're not using the camera.-- Two led indicators on the front: power and active recording. The camera mounts on the monitor with a typical clamp, but it also swivels around for horizontal adjustment, not unlike other webcams.Overall I'm very happy with this camera and I use it as my main webcam. Obviously I could find something better at over $100, but that's a steep cost increase. This is a $60 camera in a $30 body. :) Recommended.

Good Video but Poor Audio
I’ve had my existing webcam for over 5 years. It’s been a good camera although I’ve always found the lens angle to be too wide. Unfortunately, the new Susyta Web Camera is just as wide so nothing changed as a result of upgrading to the new webcam. The Susyta webcam comes with some extras that add value, a camera privacy shield, and a small octopus legged tripod. The privacy shield is a must today. It attaches to the top of the camera with double-sided tape. I purchased one of these small tripods for an SLR camera several years ago and found that, over time, the legs lost their rigidity and began to sag. That will probably not happen with the Susyta tripod since the webcam is lightweight. The second issue I have with my old camera is, with a ceiling light located above and to the rear of my head, my face appears to be dimly lit online. The new Susyta camera nicely corrected that issue resulting in my face appearing to be highlighted. The color rendition was a little off, appearing like what you’d get with a daylight bulb. Whites took on a blueish tint. Since the highlighting solved my main issue, I was excited about the improvement.Unfortunately, the third area of attention, one I never expected, was a serious disappointment. The audio reproduction of my old webcam is greatly superior to the new one. The Susyta camera’s microphone causes my voice to sound muffled and deadened. As there are no background noises in my house, background noise reduction isn’t needed, but I suspect that the auto noise reduction feature on the Susyta webcam is treating my voice as a source of unwanted noise and, therefore, suppressing it. There is nothing in the small webcam user’s manual, spelled “Uer Manual”, addressing the webcam’s microphone settings and Skype microphone settings do not have any effect on the voice deadening. An online search for Susyta webcam adjustment software didn’t turn up anything. This is frustrating as the Susyta camera solves my main issue with my old webcam, the dimly lit face lighting, but it creates a non-acceptable audio issue.

Good for an inexpensive webcam
I'm using this camera as a second webcam for Zoom teaching. I've been practicing giving art lessons via Zoom. One camera is aimed at the canvas I am working on and the other aimed at my palette to show how to mix the colors. I'm thinking of getting a third camera to show a wider view. The 90 degree field of view doesn't have noticeable distortion and the picture and colors are good. By "good" I mean that they look nice. It is impossible for a camera to perfectly capture the range of color that the eye can see.The problem with judging color is that the camera is only half of the system, the monitor is the other half. So it is very difficult to have perfect color representation. Also and camera compresses the color and value range so that subtle color and value changes are very difficult to represent. The eye can see an extremely wide range of colors and values, paint pigments can produce and smaller range, and the camera/monitor system produces the smallest range. The audio is pretty good, but I would not expect perfect audio, just like I don't expect perfect color. Audio is adequate for a webcam's purpose.I like the base that comes with this webcam. It can be clamped, or it can be tripod mounted, or it can be simple set in place on a flat surface. Quite versatile.Installation was simple and straightforward. Essentially plug-and-play.All in all, this is a good camera for the price. Perfect for Zoom meetings of for Facetime use. You will only rarely need anything better.
