This is a great hood!Quiet and robust, I can feel that this hood is making the kitchen less “smoky” and clean. Beside, this hood has really good looking, which makes me feel I’m cooking in modern kitchen rather than 1900s. I bought this vent hood as a replacement for kitchen aid hood from previous owner. Be honest, let professional do professional things, so does hood. This brand really give me good experience on cooking. Installation was a bit more complicated than the round top vent because it needed bigger hole but the template and instructions were detailed enough to install.

Overall this is a great hood; that is extremely quiet and really does SUCK! (*smile*). I do feel that it is a bit high priced for what it is and the features you get (no auto-clean, etc), but the quality compared to cheaper models is immediately noticeable. I bought this vent hood as a replacement for a microwave unit with the rear 10" rectangle duct. This is one of the only vents that uses the rectangle duct that i've found to date which is powerful. Installation was a bit more complicated than the round top vent because it needed the hole in the back to be perfectly aligned and air sealed; but the template and instructions were detailed enough to install things. The vent hood works perfectly for all cooking; stir-fry, extreme steaming (lots of steam), etc. Overall I am happy with my purchase

Have been using it for two years. The biggest problem is that it is not easy to clean. I would probably choose different model if I knew it when I purchased it. Another problem is that it isn't strong enough compared to my previous one.

Installation is little painful. The screw manufacturer provided to lock under the cabinets is not well designed. It has small screw head and make it hard to grab on. We have to loose it as the predrilled hole under cabinet wasn’t big enough. Fortunately they have a extra one. Otherwise, all good. Template is very useful. Feature-wise, we love the waving function. Would be nice if it remembers last on setting instead of maximizing everything. Delay off is another cool feature. I wish there is 10 mins delay. Overall I recommend this to anyone who prefers a quiet yet powerful kitchen vent.

Sleek and elegant look. My previous vent had horizontal (rear) vent. This one allows me to use the existing rectangular vent opening on the wall. I also like the hand waving sensor for turning on/off the vent.

I decided to finally exchange my microwave for a range hood , as my wife does a lot of cooking and we need suction power to expel cooking smell. I there was a lot of different brands and models I was looking at , and as crazy as it would I decided to spend $1000 on a range hood. I received the package within a week and was pretty excited. When I open the box , the set up looked rewlly weird - the manual was missing and there were small scratches on the components as well as on the unit itself, but I didn't think much about it. I had a contractor come and Install the unit - paid $220. Later on that evening I came back and turned it on and it seemed kinda weak. This is when my wife noticed that only the right fan is working while the other one is not working. I had to pay the contractor to come and uninstall it and send it back, while my wife ordered a replacement unit. The replacement unit came in a week or so and when I opened the box the suppting packing was broken . I plagged in the range hood to the electricity , turned it on , and discovered that ones again only 1 fan is working while the other one is broken. I decided just to deal with my loses and send the unit back and never order from this seller or company. There are so many other brands that will give you a better and more reliable performance for this much money. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this seller and the range hoods.

The build quality is very solid, the materials used are substantial, and the smoke extraction effect is excellent.

We bought and installed this UQG3002. Frankly we are underwhelmed with its max exhaust rate. We do NOT believe this unit is achieving anywhere near 850 CFM in its max mode. (We checked our unit is not in the max-CFM-limiting "CAT" mode.) Our installation is typical with a 7" dia vertical exhaust vent straight up less then 10 ft to the roof vent I claim UQG3002 is not achieving 850 CFM because it is clearly not exhausting at the rate of our previous range hood, the Broan RP130SS (now discontinued) which was a dual-fan unit rated for 440 CFM My advice to shoppers? I'd look at the Broan-NuTone GLA2303WW / GLA2303SS / GLA1303SS or similar Or if you don't need true micro-mesh grease filters but want more CFM look at the ALT3304SS Similar to our original Broan RP130SS those above-mentioned models have the micro-filters that actually catch the oil. The Fotile UQG3002 does NOT have exhaust filters.
