Worked great to raise the lid even with the sod level. No more tripping in a hole!!

This was just what I was looking for. My sprinkler box was so low in the ground, that water constantly filled it up. This extension put the lid up and out of the ground so water is no longer a problem.

This was just a great product. Sturdy and worked well.

Just the right size for what I needed. Most of these are larger which would not have worked for what I needed it for. Fast delivery.

Well build and should last for a long time

Our irrigation valve boxes near our well head have ended up a bit too deep below ground. You cannot just lift your boxes up higher as the ground will cave in on the bottom around your equipment. Manufacturers don't make deeper boxes standard, but they do make these convenient extensions! This is technically 6 inches; however, the extensions are tapered and fit over the previous boxes. Thus, they can either sit just on the lip of the old box (and give you an extra 6 inches) or they can be set deeper down (and give under 6 inches of additional height.) The difference is just how far down you dig the dirt down around the old boxes. So... if you only need three inches of extension, this box will still work.FYI .. there isn't a permanent way to attach these to the old boxes. There is a lip (as pictured) on the bottom of this box. If earth/rocks are around the new ones, that alone should keep this piece in place .

I needed a valve box extension because the valves were to deep for the one that was installed. The installer had just buried the other box. I saw this on Amazon and thought it looked like it would be just what I needed so I ordered it. It fit perfectly on top of the other box and raised it to ground level as you can see by the pictures. When the grass fills back in it will be perfect.
