SNAP. It's great!
Snap! Remember that, it's not clear in the directions or pictures but, the clam shell pieces that secure the shelves will snap into a location once placed correctly. The lines are not decorative but places for the plastic pieces to locate on. Once you figure that out, this thing assembles easily and is rock solid. We would put the black shell pieces together then slide up and down till it clicked in place. The shelves both orient the same direction with the decorative edge facing down, just look at the corners, the conical shape has to have the larger end facing down to accommodate the black shell pieces. Two people are needed simply because of size, but it's worth it, very sturdy. We have not used it enough to notice an issue with bag quality as others have mentioned.

Wobbly but very useful
Very useful. Deep laundry bags that can be washed as well. I find the top shelf and rod extremely handy for air drying items that must lay flat or blouses that will wrinkle if put in the dryer. The instructions were fairly clear. I put it together myself, but it would definitely have been easier with two people - things like keeping one side crossbar even as you try to insert opposite side. It took a little acrobatics on my own. I use this laundry center every day and love it, but one complaint. Need to roll it gently as the center isn't very sturdy, with the height often leaning askew as I roll it from washer to dryer. One addition I would love to have seen offered was a cover for the bags. It wouldn't need to be a firm material to iron on; just a piece of canvas cloth to pull over the laundry bags to hide the contents when company is over.

Hanging loops broke off
I've owned this laundry center for exactly two years now and have been disappointed with the bags. Half of the hanging loops that attach the bags to the cart have come undone. Yes I could sew them back on, but who has time for that! The first loop detached after just a few weeks of use. Since then, 3 more loops have come undone, which means my bags are only attached to the frame in a few spots and when the bags are not full the unattached sides fold in on themselves. I wish they were attached to the frame with metal hooks like other laundry sorters. Other than the hanging loops continuing to fall off, the rest of the cart has been great and I continue to use it. The shelf under the bags is a must have since I load the bags to the brim and they need the extra support. The hanging bar has been great too and I always have a few items of clothing hanging on it. Unlike another reviewer, my hanging bar is attached solidly and doesn't move at all. I also like the shelf on top. In our previous house, we didn't have a laundry room or any shelves or cabinets to put our laundry supplies in so I had to put everything on the top shelf of the laundry sorter. If I didn't have that shelf I would have had to put everything down on the floor. If the bags had stronger attachments, this would be a 5 star product. I'm thinking of ordering the Seville Laundry Sorter Cart with Hanging Bar next since none of the reviews mention problems with those bags. I'll have to give up the shelf up on top, but we've since moved to a house with a laundry room with cabinets so not having a shelf on top is not a huge issue any more.

Be ready to sew!
I was super excited about the height of this product. We have an apartment and use drying racks for our laundry, but my husbands dress shirts end up in the doorways, falling down when someone walks by. I wanted something to hang his shirts on. This product is definitely what I needed! The bags are a nice size, a full bag is a full load, and the hanging bar is high enough for a shirt.However.Why did Whitmore put the cheapest bags on their most expensive unit? Hanging the bags for the FIRST time, a toggle came off one bag and a loop pulled off another. There are several more hanging on by a thread. I have emailed the company to see what my options are; I hate to return it, but for 100 dollars shipped, I refuse to sew a dozen loops and toggles! If I'd wanted a cheaply made product, I'd have paid half this for something from Walmart.

but sturdy. The laundry bags hang from a metal band ...
Although I haven't had this item long, here are my first impressions. It is well made. Not quite as heavy as metro shelving, but sturdy. The laundry bags hang from a metal band but what I like is that there is a bottom shelf to support the weight of the bag. I can't imagine that the toggle button attachments will ever fail. I have loaded up the top bar and another reason to love this design is that the bar hangs from above. To me, that seems like it will hold more weight. The top shelf is also an added feature because I'll be storing my extra laundry baskets up out of the way...and off the floor! I highly recommend this laundry center.

Rickety, broken
After a year, this thing was completely useless and ended up in landfill. The shelves dented from minor contact with the doorknob. After that, it would not roll at all. Cheap materials did not hold up to use.-------------------------------------Assembling wasn't hard to understand even though the instructions are wrong (they say repeat step 3, when they mean repeat step 2). The pieces pinched my fingers multiple times as I tried to muscle the shelves into some semblance of level/square. I would recommend temporarily using masking tape applied to the bottom edge of the plastic pieces. This would keep them from sliding out of position while you maneuver the shelves into place. After a curse-filled 30 minutes of assembly, I had a rickety laundry unit. I don't need to roll it around much, just enough to pull it out and put it back into the closet, so it should hold up well enough. If I needed to use it to move heavy sacks of laundry around the house I don't think it would last long. The hanging rod doesn't stay in place at all. I've knocked it down a few times already. Sigh. I guess I was hoping this would make my laundry a little more glamorous, but it's still a chore!

The laundry bags are not durable
The laundry bags were unsown rather quickly. I ended up repurposing the rack. If I had the time, the bags can be resown or new ones created.

The idea is wonderful. I love the hanging rod
The idea is wonderful. I love the hanging rod. 3 buttons (one per bag) came unstitched and fell off while hanging the bags after I build the piece. Since then pretty much each one had fallen off and has needed to be sewn back on. Other than this inconvenience it's a good product.
