My experience:
Installed easily and quickly. Button functions as it should and I did not have issues with the thickness of the button described elsewhere. Touch ID fingerprint recognition did not immediately load or work. Might work with an update, I don’t know. I don’t use it anyway.

Saved my old iPhone
My son uses my old iPhone as a beefed up iPod and he changed the passcode on it one day…and immediately forgot the new passcode. We ended up with a disabled iPhone that would not connect to iTunes and had a broken home button so couldn’t even factory reset it. Got a tool set and this home button on Amazon and followed a YouTube video….Success! Got it to reset, update and even finally connect to iTunes after updating it. The finger print recognition is gone (which I knew would happen) and was totally fine with. Very happy I gave this a shot!

Good Product
Easy to install and packed very well. Good Quality. So far a very good product. Didn't recognized my ID Touch though.

It worked, as expected and it's good
This worked perfectly for me. The home button of my old iPhone 6 plus was damaged and had stopped working though the fingerprint scanner as well as other things like reach-ability were also working well. So I reverted to using the accessibility control which is a software button on the iPhone that acts as a home button. But honestly wasn't liking it.So looked our for the most reasonable alternative to home button and watched a couple of videos for replacement of home button. Was well aware that the fingerprint scanner would stop working once home button is replaced but I can live with the use of the PIN rather than fingerprint scanner BUT the home button should continue to workSo overall satisfied that this worked.

Restored my failed Home button on iPhone 6 - I knew the TouchID would not work after replacement
My Home button functionality had failed on my iPhone 6. TouchID and Reachability functions also were not working. I ordered this replacement assembly to try and restore the Home button functions. I realize that the TouchID would no longer work if the original Apple button was removed from the phone as it is factory paired with the motherboard for security purposes. After taking my phone apart and removing the original Home button assembly, it became clear why the original button had failed (see photo). The flex cable had broken in half. After installing this replacement, the phone Home button is once again working normally. As expected, the TouchID and Reachability do not work. I can live with that, I never used Reachability anyway and although TouchID is a really nice feature, it is not something you need to use all the time.

Works awesome ! Finally have a working hole button
I couldn’t take not having a home button that didn’t work anymore . Even with the touch assist on my phone I’ve had enough. So after reading reviews I decided to fix my phone up . Yes , Touch ID will NOT work after install. But I never used it anyways . Very easy to put in place and works flawless! I’m so happy to have my phone back .

Didnt work, bricked phone while installed
TLDR; Product looked intact but didn't work at all and even worse made my phone stop working. Phone works with old button.Decided to replace the whole home button since it was a little loose. The part looked intact and was identical to the old home button. Installed without any problem, pretty straightforward installation. However, after I installed it my phone would not turn on at all, charge, or get recognized by my computer. Basically bricked the phone. I ended up using the old home button with a new gasket instead, that worked fine and my phone turned on again and worked as normal. Not really sure what the issue is, I've replaced the battery on this phone and actually bought a screen replacement from the same company that worked without issue.

Great replacement home button!
I recently replaced my husband's broken home button with this one. It works great now. I used the ifixit.com repair guides and had no problems. I had considered buying the parts directly from ifixit.com, but the price of this item was significantly cheaper. I'm glad I went with this option. The Johncase home button does include the gasket around the home button whereas some other replacement do not include the gasket. As others have noted, replacing the home button does disable touchID.
