This Adelita little girl dress (or you can also call revolutionary dress) is made by women in communities near Mexico city. For Mexican Revolution commemoration the most recognized outfits are for sure Adelitas. Adelita is the nickname given to women who fought alongside men in the Mexican Revolution from 1910 to 1920. It was used by women that would come to the battlefield and traveled with the revolutionary armies to help to cook meals, provide care to the wounded, wash clothes, etc. Bright colors, summery prints, and lovely ruffles are all in order to ring in Cinco de Mayo. This outfit is used everywhere in Mexico for celebrations and festivities. We are working with co-ops of women that work together to make pieces of art using their available time at home to embroider and woven. We support the indigenous families of Mexico empowering them to earn a stable income and providing a window to the world for their products with a fair trade price. Using our product you are sharing the story of women in Mexico whose hearts and dreams are carried in this piece.

Look nice.
Instead of having the green line on the blouse, it is purple. Still beautiful. It will fit any size, because you tie the skirt back and forth. The skirt is large when you hold it, perfect for dance. It worth the price. Perfect for a show. My daughter is 4 and she is the tallest on her class. The skirt was perfect from the hips to the toes. The yellow part of the blouse is large, so we can't see the white part. But it holds in place, the elastic help and still beAutiful.

Not too pleased
This was just awful. I bought this for my daughter to wear for an event that we had but we couldn't use this outfit at all. It was supposed to be size 6 but it was so big it might as well have been size 16. Not only that, but there was a rip on the side of the skirt. I will be returning this immediately.

... stars because it was well made and looked very nice and arrived on time
I give this item 5 stars because it was well made and looked very nice and arrived on time. If it wasn't because my granddaughter's teacher changed the attire for their Hispanic Heritage Week presentation, I would have kept it. It resembles a Panamanian Pollera.

Great For a Costume
Perfect for a costume. Fabric is very thin and the fit was really big. The colors were great and did not fade in the wash.

3 Y/O size fits 5'4" adult.
Poorly made, you can see the fabric fraying at the seams. Beyond that, the 3 year-old size (daughter is almost 4, but pretty short) fits me, and I'm almost 5'4". Now I have to go to a seamstress. Would have given 0 stars if possible.
