it stretches pretty easily considering it's mostly fabric
Although somewhat narrow, I've only wore for one workout and was surprised how well my feet felt at the end. The toe bed felt the most narrow, it stretches pretty easily considering it's mostly fabric. Cushioning is minimal but sufficient should I decide to go for a jog outside on a road. I'm glad I didn't get one of the more minimal models with less cushion. I normally have issues with my high arches but these haven't bothered me yet in the short time I've worn them. I only paid two Andrew Jacksons for them, so I give it them 5 stars considering the value for my money. Id probably be more critical of the shoes if I had paid more.

They are excellent for me instead of wearing heavier running shoes
I need these Inov-8 shoes for crossfit training. I have flat feet and prone to plantar fasciitis. I place a heel cup inside the shoes so I can train, jump rope, sprint runs, shuttle runs and suicide runs. They are excellent for me instead of wearing heavier running shoes. I ordered size 12 for my previous pair and were too big. I exchanged them for 11.5 and they fit perfect. This is my second purchase of Inov-8 shoes and I will stay with this shoe. My first pair began falling apart after a year of use so it was time to get another pair. Good luck!

Great CrossFit shoe!
Started with the Innov8 195 - great shoe for lifting, but tore me up when trying to run! Went to other shoes (running, fitness, etc) and decided to come back to the Innov8 and decided on these 240's.FANTASTIC decision!! These are GREAT all-around shoes to CrossFit in. Very good for lifting but also sturdy enough for the running part of our WODs. I'm NOT a long-distance runner but these are PERFECT for my fitness application.I have a wide foot and bought the 10s rather than my normal 9.5 size - fits very well.Light enough to be part of standard packing for cruises and vacations as well!!VERY pleased by this purchase.

Light-weight, Durable and Deployment Tested... Great for CrossFit
I was on the ropes about purchasing shoes online (as I have always been) but being deployed to the Helmand Province in Afghanistan, I had no other choice. I was wearing an old pair or clunky and bulky Asic running shoes and knew little about Inov-8 shoes. Then I started CrossFit and was left with the decision to wait it out and make no gains with the pair of cotton bricks I wore or get a new pair. I opted for the new pair; i wanted results. At the recommendation of a friend and fellow CrossFitter (she got me into CrossFit), I ordered me a pair of Inov-8 F-Lite 240s. They arrived in no time and I wore them for a bit the first week because I was new to the light weight feel of it and was afraid to hurt myself. After that first week, I was impressed. Not only were they light but they were comfortable and I opted to wear them daily while at work and for my work outs.Being deployed, these shoes were tested in the heat, the rain and the cold. They were used in the dirt and sand, the pavement and on some rocky terrain. While some would call me crazy for running in these, the fact that I could feel everything under my feet was amazing. I was able to change up my running form to reduce the heal strike and really focus on becoming lighter on my feet. While not advertised as "lifting shoes", these shoes were great for CrossFit style lifting in that they allowed you to fall on your heals without the extra padding from regular running shoes. I loved them most doing jump ropes because again, I could feel everything under my feet and it didn't feel like I was wearing padded bricks. It's been 10 months of rugged terrain and pitting it against some of the harshest conditions and only now have they started to show greater signs of wear and tear. I know that if i was to use this for working out and running on a tamed course with little of natures wonder under my feet, they would last longer but I didn't expect them to last this long. I can probably milk it for another 2 months and get me a new pair when I get home but I wanted to pass along that they are tried and tested... and the results are worth the four stars I gave. The few complaints I do have are minor:1. Shoe is not water resistant but that's what you get when you have to decide if you want a breathable shoe or a water proof shoe. Since I spent most of my time in dry desert, I was fine. The lightweight and clothe design as well as the sole make it an easy wash and rinse by hand too.2. I got a 10.5 thinking it was going to run either right or a bit smaller (I have wide feet so sometimes I have to get a larger shoe to get the right fit). They came a 1/2 size too big with one shoelace longer than the other. Easy fix, I replaced them with the laces from my old shoes and I was good. I'd venture to say, these come a 1/2 size smaller than regular sizes.Otherwise, these were great! Highly recommended and durable!

Best Crossfit shoe on the market!
I have been Crossfitting for 4 months now 5 days a week. The first 2 months, I wore my Asics running shoes and between all the rope climbs, box jumps, burpees, etc, they were falling apart. I decided to invest in a good pair of shoes specifically for Crossfit and settled on the Inov-8 F-lite 240. They have been by far the best training, running, and lifting shoe I have ever put on my feet! The 240 is lighter than my Asics and much more durable. The best part about the 240 for me was, there was no breaking the shoe in. They basically fit like a sock and are just as comfortable. I would recommend getting a half a size smaller than your normal training shoe. For example, I wear a size 13US in all tennis/training shoes (Nike and Asics), but I had to get a size 12.5US in the Inov-8. These shoes are definitely worth the $$$$!!!

Great Nano alternative
I love Crossfit and I think there is a genuine need for CF-specific gear. But I really am not fond of the new Nanos that have Crossfit plastered all over the shoes.I decided to be a little less of a poser and go with these. I love them. I get great compliments on them and I like being the only one wearing something as opposed to looking like everyone else. They were a little narrow to start and I considered sending them back, but I am glad I didn't. They now fit great and are very comfortable. From other feedback, I ordered them a half size smaller than normal and I am glad it did.

For me sizing is accurate in men's 11.5US
Shoes are "ok". I wouldn't pay what I paid again for them though. They're light and comfortable, but with light you sacrifice longevity. I wear a 12US mens in almost everything and I ordered an 11.5 based on the reviews of them running half size large. These fit just the slightest bit snug. I'd say the 12 would've fit perfect, so for me I'd say the sizing runs true.

Amazing build quality, good fit and fit for purpose.
I was concerned about the build quality with it mostly being mesh but these trainers have lave last me really well both in the gym for lifting, sprints and on machines as well as for sailing trips and walking through jungles in Thailand. After years of abuse the toe caps are only just starting to show wear. The low heel drop and lack of cushioning rules these trainers out for running over any distance but that's not what they're designed for. Instead they provide a solid platform with excellent grip. The fit was just right for me although I have quite narrow feet.

Really comfortable. Item is as described and packaged well
I bought these for a Tough Mudder run and they handled that really well. After that it was just a gym trainer. Have had no issues with these. Really comfortable. Item is as described and packaged well.

Super basket
