Acoustic Audio GX-350 PA Karaoke DJ Speakers 1000W 2 Way Pair

I loved the speakers which was a gift to my son who wanted to explore being a DJ. Great quality for the price.

Ok, full disclosure. I used to own two of these babies, now I own 8. They are NOT powered speakers. You need an amplifier. They only accept stripped/bare wire up to about 14 gauge. And they look and feel cheap. You may get a pair with one of the plastic corners damaged. This does NOT affect the sound. They sound VERY good. If the Samson Auro d210 pair I own is an 8 in sound, these are a solid 7.Now, the limitations. These are SMALL speakers. 5" woofers. They are loud, VERY loud. They will surprise you. They can also give you a small output at 20Hz which is amazing. But they CANNOT go loud AND deep. They are 5" speakers. The laws of physics still apply. 8 of them can give just under half the bass output of my Behringer B1200D, which is amazing considering they are 5" speakers. To get that you must use a crossover and send only the bass to the amplifier running the 8 speakers. If you run them full range you will get a balanced sound, but 2 of them WILL NOT give you enough volume for heavy bass. If you run only treble and mid range through them, you can get MUCH more volume before they distort.Speaking of distortion, they overload gracefully, but I hate distortion, so I never run them there. Speaking of amplifiers, their sensitivity seems to be around 97dB, and they present a fairly easy nominal 8 ohm load. As expected the impedance goes up below 80Hz.The only disadvantage I see is that you have to run a lot of them together, to get that loud and powerful DJ sound. I would say 8 is minimum, 16 will probably sound like a normal mobile DJ setup. If you have the amplifier channels and power, wire them separately to each channel for quality. Anything above 5 watts per channel will make them play (not loudly), 100 watts per channel for normal use, and 200 watts per channel to really make them shine. If you just need power, run them between 8 and 16 ohms. I've tested them on several amplifiers, and they don't sound as good with really low and really high impedances, even on amps DESIGNED for those impedances. Just for one example, I ran a group of them, wired for 4 ohms, on an amp designed specifically for a 4 ohm load, and they sounded much better at 8 ohms.They can be blown, but you really have to be deaf/not paying attention. When I first got them, I was very disappointed. I thought "man these look cheap!" Then I thought, "and they're so small!" Hook them up to a good amp. You will be amazed. Don't be put off by the ridiculous cheap look and the small size. They will surprise you.

if you are working hard for your money and I know most of us are, please I am begging you not to buy this product. I don't know how can anyone give this product more than 1 star. even 1 start is too much. there is no way this thing has a 1000 watt totally. I bought these speakers for a party and I end up not using them because the base was crap, they sound like something made out of cheap cardboard. anyway, you can try them if you want but highly recommended not to waste your time and money unless you want to deal with shipping them. these speakers are not even worth $5. amazon should be a shame for supporting the sell of this crap.thank you for reading this.

I am very satisfied w/ the speakers! I thought they were going to be really large but they are about the size of a microwave turned straight up. I can hear these speakers all throughout my dorm building and it is only turned halfway up!! There is not any distortion or anything. It is perfect but the only thing that made me hesitant is when the bass really hits, I hear the speaker make a small crackle sound (You can't hear it unless you are really listening close). Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase! I usually don't buy things like this online but I will start now! Cheap price and great quality = Can't get any better than that!

I purchased these speakers to be used as monitors for my home studio. I am extremely pleased with the way they have performed. For their price range and size, they handle high volume levels well and the clarity is great. Do to their compactness they take up very little space and their appearance fits in well in a studio setting.

These speakers are impressive, but pay attention to the ad cause it says mini....yeah they are smaller than I had expected but they handle fine. Back in the day these would have come in handy when me and the boys were putting home stereo speakers in our cars to out blast one another.If you're still hesitant about them here's the last thing I'll say, they handle a 2000 watt stereo just fine..not saying I can get them to peak at 2000w, but they are just worth the money.

Crystal clear sound and deal!!! perfect for a DJ or small production studio! And yes they are fine for studio monitors!!! The is are a great alternative to higher priced monitors! And have a classic studio style look!!!

these are NOT dj speakers they arent even passive speakers they are HOME speakers w/ spring loaded inputs (speaker wire). I was going to return them since I have to pay shipping I would only be recieving $20 back. so I'm giving them to a local charity.. How do these liars sleep at night? I guess they need the $58 more than I do
