HapeAward Winning Pita Pocket Play Kitchen Play Set

For the past 25 years there has been several age/developmental levels of kiddos here. Through the years we have purchased quite an assortment of "plastic" play food for our many play kitchens and pretend restaurants. As you could imagine, in the past 25 years, many pieces were lost, chewed on by the pups or kids or just plain worn. Our supply of play food was quickly dwindling and/or becoming rather outdated. My youngest son and my granddaughter still enjoy playing with the play food. My granddaughter loves to play with the food - instead of saying she is cooking - she says she is "cheffing" - so cute. As play food is still a popular item here - it was time to look into purchasing some new sets.I came across this Hape Playfully Delicious Pita Pocket Play Food Set, along with the Hape Playfully Delicious Garden Salad Play Set, and the Hape Playfully Delicious Chef's Choice Wooden Play Food Set all offered at a really good price. I took a chance and purchased the sets and I am very glad I did. The sets are made of good quality materials with excellent craftsmanship. The littles enjoy mixing up the items from each set and 'creating new combinations to serve at their restaurant'. I like the pita set and it's mix textures of food bing both wood and a felt like material. The set itself is awesome - but the ability to mix it up with the other sets leaves more tot he imagination. My kiddos think of some interesting combinations!I am definitely going to keep my eye open for a few more good deals as I am VERY satisfied with the quality of our playlet and feel it will serve the kids for many years to come.

I bought these to go along with a Step2 play kitchen in June 2013- my daughter's second birthday. I just pulled them out of the toys to look at them- she really plays with the wooden vegetables alot. These vegetables have had various stickers attached (for identification I think), been chewed on, been tossed in the air with a play spatula and had a lot of rough play over the last 1.5 years. I was washing them today and noticed how good they look. Aside from some teeth marks on the cucumber, I was able to scrape or wash away all the rest of the "gunk" and now they look almost new. I am really impressed with the quality. I just wish they included a better container to keep them in. I am pretty careful about counting them all at the end of each play day- it would be so easy to lose one of them. I think I'll buy another set and some other cooking supplies by the same manufacturer- I had my eye on the pop-up toaster or the pancake breaskfast. Awesome toys!

Love it! These are so cute. We received the Salad set from the same brand as a gift recently and so I almost didn't give this to my 2.5 year old because I thought they were so similar. I changed my mind and am so glad I did because I think I like this Pita set even better. Some of the pieces are very similar or the same, so I can see how these sets can be used interchangeably at times.My daughter absolutely loves these and enjoys making little pockets for us. I've actually put the salad set away because there are so many pieces that keep going everywhere and we're enjoying this Pita pocket instead for the time being!Product seems to be very well made. I love the little pieces. I LOVE that it's NOT plastic. Plus I bought this on sale for around $11, and I couldn't be happier!

My baby girl recently turned two in mid-October and I bought the IKEA kitchen set. She had pots and pans but no food. She and my two older daughters used blocks for pretend. I bought a toy chest from IKEA and hacked it to be a matching fridge and checked out amazon! THE QUALITY OF HAPE TOYS ARE AMAZING!!! The size of the food is more suitable for children around her age group but risk of choking isn't high either.The colors are as vibrant as posted and detailing of each piece is done beautiful. My newborn son has a rare condition that effects him if he is around toxins in toys, clothing, paints, etc, so finding eco-friendly toys is also pertinent. Atlhough eco-friendly, style, look and quality was not compromised! I know my children will have fun now and even more fun in the future.Any parent looking for the best quality in toys and also being eco-friendly isn't bad either... try Hape Toys!

Expensive and small for what they are but well made as many Hape toys are and idea is lovely. This had play value which many toys now a days don't. As my 2 children are 5 & 7 yrs old and are not needing fire guard as much, I bought a cheap oil cloth table cloth in red and white check to cover the fire guard, and stood an ice cream shop I also bought on Amazon, on it, then I bought Hape pitta breads and made it into more of a sandwich/ice cream market where they could stand behind the covered fire guard and serve. They were spoilt rotten for xmas but both enjoyed this role play the best.

ordered this for my 1year old and he loves it ! keeps him busy putting the dressing in and then out ! The package was delivered before the date . Happy with my purchase with Amazon

Cute, well made and a very decent size (probably very slightly larger than real to be honest!)

Very well made product. My two year old loves making sandwitches and enjoys playing with it.
