Delicious and Nutritious
I bake bread weekly, much of the time it's rye or pumpernickel. Well, these crackers will give my bread machine a well deserved break because they are fantastic! I usually eat Dr. Kracker's or Ak Mak's, but now I have a new favorite. The Ryvita is the perfect size for an open-faced snack or a crisp crackers encasing stuff sandwich. I have had no problem with them falling apart but then I don't pile them with huge amounts of food; I simply use a thin spread like goat cheese, baba ganoush or hummus w/ veggies, cheese, salmon, or faux poultry products. They are made of rye, salt and H20, nothing more, and they are not as rigid as Dr. Kracker's, but much stronger than Ak Mak's. They are just right and Amazon offers them for a terrific price! I'm hooked.

Great crunch!
LOVE these crackers! They have no added flavor, but are full of flavor, nonetheless. Especially spread with butter! I try to eat in as healthy a way as I can (I do not consider moderate butter consumption unhealthy, obviously), and since these crackers have only plain ingredients in them, they fit the bill very nicely. Also great with almond butter or natural peanut butter. RECOMMEND.

BEST, LITTLE-KNOWN CRACKER ON THE MARKET
TO MY KNOWLEDGE THIS CRACKER IS ONE OF THE ONLY TWO CRACKERS AVAILABLE WHICH HAS ONLY RYE FLOUR, SALT, & WATER IN IT. RYE IS A VERY HEALTHFUL GRAIN & HAVING NO FAT IN THIS CRACKER MEANS NO TRANS FATS & POSSIBLE TO PUT ON ONE'S OWN CHOICE OF FAT OR NONE. EVERY OTHER CRACKER I'VE SEEN HAS ALL SORTS OF ADDITIVES--THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I KNOW OF WHICH DOESN'T. PLUS IT TASTES GOOD ALL BY ITSELF. AND RYE HAS LESS GLUTEN & MORE FIBER THAN WHEAT. THIS IS A STEALTH HEALTH FOOD PEOPLE SHOULD TRY--IT GOES WITH ANYTHING, SWEET OR SAVORY & ONE VARIETY (MY FAVORITE) HAS SESAME SEEDS SPRINKLED ON TOP.READ THE LABELS (NOT THE BALLYHOO ADVERTISING ON PACKAGES) & YOU'LL SEE HOW MANY ADDITIVES ARE PUT IN MOST CRACKERS, ESPECIALLY TRANSFATS & 'DOUGH CONDITIONERS'. THIS CRACKER HAS NONE! I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT TOO HIGHLY!

I have eaten Ryvita for MANY decades, but . . . no more!
I stocked up at the start of the pandemic, when Ryvita still tasted, and had the thickness and texture of . . . RYVITA. But I just opened one of the newer ones of "Original" (original WHAT, I ask Ryvita? What?), and it is the WORST, most HORRIBLE tasting product I've ever had in its category. (My mom used to love Wasa Bread, which I disdained.) The Ryvita company should be ashamed of nefariously slipping in this new thicker, cardboard-tasting product to its loyal customers. Shame on you, Ryvita. I may have been a loyal customer, but, I'm looking for a new Rye cracker/bread.

Tasty rye crackers with lots of uses
If you like treats that are both crunchy and healthy, these crackers are a good place to start. You can eat them plain or dress them up with your most creative toppings.I've docked them one point for two reasons:1. They're only 80 percent whole grain. If you're trying to add fiber to your diet, there are 100 percent whole grain crackers out there, such as Finn Crisp, which is also available from Amazon.2. Nowhere on the Ryvita page could I find the Nutrition Facts panel. I'm adding photos so you can see what you'll be getting and make your own decision about the nutritional value.

Vegan Natural Choice
Vegan. Natural. Very delicious rye crispbread. Light texture. Softer than many harder and crunchier crispbreads. Pleasing. Sesame seeds compliment the very mild rye flavor well. Great with your favorite organic soups or chilis. Can also be used for making wonderful hors d'oeuvres or appetizers. 40 calories per slice. Approx. 26 slices per box. Product of Great Britain. This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. See all of my reviews and the vegancompassion Profile for more great choices. Check out "Vegan Grocery Favorites" and "Vegan Grocery Top Ten" & all the other helpful "Vegan Grocery" Listmania. Your input counts and will be greatly appreciated to benefit the search of others. Thank you.

Excellent Rye Crisps
For health reasons, I avoid eating wheat as much as possible. Over the years, I've bought rye crisps by Ak Mak and many other brands. Ryvita's dark rye are definitely my favorite. I eat them with soups and salads, as well as on their own for afternoon snacks. My favorite way to eat them is with avocado slices on top, dusted with North of the Border's "Montezuma Chipotle Seasoning." (They don't carry this product yet at Amazon, but if your local natural foods store doesn't have it, you can Google it and it's worth the effort. The stuff is great on eggs, pizza, soups, and more.)

the sesame seeds help a lot
We use RyVita regularly for a crunchy base for things like mashed sardines.........most everyone knows they have no taste on their own, but that's OK. The sesame seeds do help, especially if you really love sesame like we do.They have just enough of a hint of salt to make them work for the following snack item: Try "cutting" one in half and making a peanut butter sandwich (no jelly) -- the taste is a lot like peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets, without the wheat flour and without nasty preservatives in the filling part.
