Excellent Premium Leather iPhone 12 Case
While there are many leather cases to choose from for your shiny iPhone 12/Pro, you can't do much better than Apple's official Leather Case with MagSafe. The Saddle Brown color is a nice, rich brown. The leather is supple and no two cases are exactly alike. The case fits snugly against the iPhone (which it should) and is very sturdy once attached, and there's also a neat little animation on the iPhone the first time you put it on. The volume and power buttons are metal and have a copper finish, which feel very nice. There are cutouts for the mute switch as well as the microphone, speaker, and lightning port on the bottom. Because the back of the case is the same thickness as the camera bump, the case allows your phone to sit flat on a surface and keeps the camera bump from touching anything. Since this case is MagSafe compatible (meaning it has the built-in MagSafe magnet), it works with any MagSafe accessory. It also works with 3rd party chargers. I have a Ravpower MagSafe charger and my iPhone shows the official MagSafe animation when attached. The case is not without its flaws, however. Because of the case's thickness, the mute switch can be surprisingly hard to toggle. Also, the trim around the camera cutout is plastic, which I feel is a very odd choice. Finally, at $59, the price is a little steeper than the competition (are magnets really that expensive?). Overall, this is a great case and I can't wait to see how the patina develops as the months and years progress. At $59 I'm expecting this case to last as long as I have this phone. I had a Pixel 2 XL for 3 years, so I'm hoping to go at least that long with my iPhone 12 Pro, but time will tell.

Perfect leather case for an older iPhone — love it!
It’s been so hard to find a good case for my older iPhone, but I’m so glad I found this one. It’s real leather, the color is absolutely beautiful (even better in person), and it fits perfectly. I love that it’s an Apple product and it was available at such a great price. It looks and feels premium — I couldn’t be happier with this case!

Love it! Don’t listen to these people with ridiculous expectations
Bought the case for my gf and she (and I) LOVE it. The people complaining about it not having protection are being ridiculous. No, it’s not a life proof case... But it will absolutely protect the phone from scratches and minor falls. You want a case to protect your phone from a 10 foot drop, buy a case that will protect it from a 10 foot drop. You just won’t be getting a case that looks Apple fresh af and feels like god in your hand. I like it so much I’m returning my protective case and going the premium route, opting to risk damage so I can feel like a freaking god holding one of these beauties. It doesn’t even hurt the pinky I rest my phone on how soft it is. And idk what these people are talking about saying it doesn’t fit. Hers is so tight that it’s relatively hard to take off. The iPhone 12 is a durable phone. Don’t take my word for it, go check some durability tests on YouTube. Be careful with it and you won’t have a problem. Out of 5 stars: 10 stars for quality 10 stars for in hand feel 5 stars for looks 5 stars for buttons 5 stars for MagSafe compatibility (that my off brand protective “mag safe” case failed to bring me) 3 stars for protection (cause it most certainly will protect from those scratches and scuffs and dings from minor falls over no case at all) 1 star for people who have ridiculous expectations and go to the internet to take their anger of life out on companies making actually good products, a lot of which don’t even have “verified purchase” LOL WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE!??!?

Why you really should do it
This is the first time ever that I bought a phone case from Apple or from any phone manufacturer in fact, here are the reasons why, especially considering the stratospheric price. Working backwards let’s actually do a reality check on that price. When anyone has the means and sophistication to choose to buy what is perhaps the most technologically advanced smartphone on the planet it is baffling and perhaps bordering on incredulous that they would then choose the cheapest rubbery plastic case to preserve and protect it. Is sixty bucks really all that much of a sacrifice to coddle your thousand buck smartphone in – really. Okay then why the leather one, it is just for showing off and going for brag rights you may ask. For me the answer is no, I have chosen real leather for about 80% of my previous phones for the one and simple reason that there is nothing like it for helping me feel secure that my phone won’t slip out of my hands under any conditions – warm, cold, damp, dry. It has always seemed illogical to me that real leather wouldn’t wear out faster than a good grade of plastic but no, I have never had one wear out before I was ready to replace my phone with a newer model. It may just be conjecture but I also believe that no manmade material has as much give to it when dinged, banged or dropped than leather. And then there’s the Baltic Blue hue that’s new this year. I usually opt for basic black because I’m not really into showing my phone off and making it a target for theft. For some reason this shade doesn’t call attention to itself, and for whatever reason just has a feel good essence to it. Apple makes the phone so they should know something about the cutouts and raised edges around the screen and those huge camera lenses and it turns out that yes they do. Everything fits like, well, a glove including the one thing that I am ultra picky about that so many cases never get exactly right. I’m talking about the buttons. The buttons on the 12 pro series didn’t just come about by accident, they were very carefully designed to be slightly different this go around and if I had my preference I wouldn’t put a case on my phone at all, but that would be sheer folly. Unlike almost any case I can think of they chose to use a hybrid leather covered metal button here that actually has its own slight snap to it, so every button press is met with a soft reassuring click whether you are aware of it or not. Then finally there’s magsafe, something this manufacture seems to be holding on to with an iron grip. No one’s cases and no one’s charging disks are exactly the same as Apple’s and no one’s work together in unison like this case does with a 12 series phone. I won’t touch that argument about the slight discoloration because it is a non issue and absolutely not a cause for a negative review. They are very clear about what’s happening and why and make it clear upfront – if you can’t accept that as the way it is make the simple decision not to buy this case. It doesn’t bother me one bit.

One of the best iPhone cases, depending on intended use
Apple's leather iPhone case is ideal for those who prefer a quality, minimalist design without any excess bulk. While there are a few other leather cases out there with similar quality, they tend to be both bulkier and more expensive, and often lack the high quality metal power and volume buttons found on Apple's case. The leather case also slides easily in and out of pockets, in contrast to silicone cases that stick to fabrics, which is aggravating for users like myself. It should be noted, though, that while this case will protect your phone from casual drops, it's obviously not going to provide the protection of an OtterBox or similar case design. It should also be noted that the leather surface isn't very forgiving to abrasions, and is extremely susceptible to moisture and grime of any kind, particularly with any light colored models. So this is not the case you want on your iPhone when your hands and environment are going to be wet or dirty. For me, this means I own two cases: the leather one, and a silicone one for "active" use.

Amazing case but doesn’t protect your phone
I love this case! The leather looks so good and makes the phone feel different - simple yet stunning. It’s compatible with the MagSafe charger. 10 mins on the charger gave me about 10% more charge. The buttons on the case work well and are responsive. However, this case will not provide your phone protection. My gf has this case and dropped her phone recently (from about 4 feet high) - it shattered the back of her phone and left the edges of the case ripped up. I give this product 5 stars because this isn’t sold or marketed as a case that will protect your phone it is sold as one that looks good and works with wireless charging, which it absolutely does. If you’re looking for a protective case, look elsewhere.

Unreliable Engineering and Materials.
I’ve always wanted an Apple leather case for my iPhone and I finally got one. However this one missed the mark for me. First of all the color looks ok... until you get it near a yellow envelope or a school pencil... then your like... meh? After a month of using this case the outer layer began to peel off. I work a 9-5 job. Treat my items with care. Like many others I stick my iPhone in my back pocket. Doing this caused friction to the case and it began to deteriorate (again, this is in a months time). I questioned if I had a authentic item but after confirming with Apple, it is indeed a real case. They basically told me over the phone that it doesn’t do it by itself and they can’t replace the item because it was something I did, (using other verbiage). I used a phone case as a phone case. At $50 dollars it should be more durable. I’m not sure if I am the only one who has this issue but you can tell the leather is stretched tightly over the corners of the case, which just so happens to be the problem areas. (See pictures below.) I am grateful for Amazons return policy. I will try my luck with an Apple silicone case instead.
