Size:39 mm This B+W Neutral Density Filter reduces the light by two f-stops (log density 0.6), and it is the most popular ND filter in photographic work. It offers many benefits, for instance f/4 instead of f/8 for selective sharpness instead of a great depth of field, or 1/15 s instead of 1/60 s for a flowing instead of a "frozen" waterfall. It has excellent color neutrality, costs less than the denser filters, and is recommended as part of a basic outfit. The filter factor is 4x.

B+W Filters Can't Be Beat
Heliopan and B+W are the Mecerdes-Benz and BMW of the filter world. While other companies make decent filters, once you've seen the quality and consistency of a B+W filter you won't want to buy any other brand. You get precision ground German optics with quality coating all packaged in a precision, solid aluminum ring.This filter has only a single coating and for less money I could have bought a multi coated Hoya filter. But having owned other B+W filters I was certain their single coating would be as good if not better than anybody else's multi coating filters and I was right.

Good as usual
My third BW filter, brought this for shoting flowing water since the ideal exposure time for it is around one or two secs, four stop light reduction is perfect for such situation. Quality is amazing as usual, five stars.

solid and works like a charm!
This filter more or less stays on my wide angle lens, esp. when I'm shooting during daylight. Has to be cleaned regularly as it smudges something awful, but it makes everything look nicer, giving me wonderful blue skies and fluffy white clouds. Makes water look great too, very fluid instead of static. Well-made and highly recommended.

So long Hoya.
This is my first B-W filter and the quality of both the glass and mount far exceed my expectations - I will never look back. I use it to gain 2 f/stops on my LUMIX LX100. I don't use many filters, but this camera has no built-in ND filter. This solves that problem, and I notice no degradation of IQ or color rendition.

Great for reducing contrast on sunny days
Lifesaver for shooting in full daylight. I shoot sports, so I don't have the luxury of choosing the time and place. In mid-day sun, contrast is usually a factor, but not with this ND. Seems to be the perfect amount for my Canon 5D Mk3.

Dust magnet.
This is a DUST MAGNET. I took it out of the package and IMMEDIATELY it had dust attaching to it, I couldn't believe my eyes. Half tempted to return it, this whole "B+W makes the best filters!" saying is hard to believe. I've had plenty of similar filters /not/ have this issue.

The image and video quality with these filters on my Handy Cam just soften everything up and slightly dull the colors
Works alright, but as in the 0.9 filter, I get vignetting. May be just what I'm using for a videos, because these filters are really meant for still digital photo cameras.
