The Discourses of Epictetus and the Enchiridion (Royal Collector's Edition) (Case Laminate Hardcover with Jacket)

This is one of the greatest books of all time and it wasn't even intended to be a book. The wisdom shared by Epictetus is still very applicable today. The physical book is also beautiful!

Still reading it, definitely a thinker. It takes a minute to chew on it but like if you want some pretty good advice I'd get it, plus it looks killer on a book shelf.

This book is a fantastic read for anyone who enjoys philosophical thought and the practice of stoicism. This book has really helped me with understanding when something is beyond the power of my will and how I should react to unfortunate situations that I have no control over.

This review is intended for the quality of the book - not the content of it. There are many other sources for that. Besides, I haven't read it yet, so I'll keep it about the quality.This book is gorgeous inside out. It will be the center piece of my bookshelves. That's all for now (ha).

The text was downloaded from some Internet site, enlarged, which is okay, but contains no references or commentary. Therefore, I decided to go with Harvard's Loeb Classics to purchase the two volumes of Epictetus' Discourses. They are fantastic, and you can get them through Amazon.com!

A modern book that looks and feels nice to the touch. Content is good still reading.

My partner likes the gift. Likes the translation. I was just a bit disappointed with the cover. It's just flat and printed, not textured or with shining gold or leatheryness. Would have looked much cooler on the bookshelf if it was. Apart from that, it's a good product.
