This newer unit has quite a few improvements.
This newer unit has quite a few improvements.I've been a happy owner of two (slightly older model) AeroCure's. They work great, but the newer model has several improvements.First it's NOTICEABLY quieter! Great job Aerobiotix. Also, there is a filter indicator that will show you, the user, how much filter life is left. The power cord is now permanently attached to the AeroCure, previously it plugged in (and came out too easily). Also, I understand that the wheel attachments to the unit have been beefed up, a previous problem apparently in rough shipping. Finally, Aerobiotix customer service it TOP NOTCH. Whether it's answering questions, or helping fix problems, I doubt you will find better customer service.Get one, and enjoy cleaner air.

One the one hand I like the sturdy and industrial feel to the unit
I have been using this unit for just over a year now. It arrived with a small dent in one of its wheels which I never bothered to have fixed(must of been banged during shipping). One the one hand I like the sturdy and industrial feel to the unit, it does seems to work well in all respects. Changing filters is a tad harder than normal in so far as you need to remove screws and take off the screens and replace the two filters and then reassemble everything. My unit with the little dent at the bottom seems harder to fix the screen back on when reassembling it. This unit is loud. In a small bedroom with the unit on you will not hear any noise from outside the house it creates a white noise that is good in that respect. I think that in future editions the should redesign the unit to have an access door on hinges or smoother way than removing screws and aligning a metal cover over holes IMO. Happy but not thrilled...Does it work better than others I think it does therefore I continue to use it.

Works great
Working overtime in an area where there is a need for extra filtering of air (post-construction and renovations). The difference is in air quality is significant.

Expensive but it works.
Day one, no more allergies. I don't know what was causing it but I know what fixed it!Day three, allergies are back but not as bad.I'm still satisified with this machine. I believe the air is much cleaner with it.

Inferior product - does not move air as advertised
Item did not work at all. Barely moved any air. A filter half the price does a much better job. Return was simple and easy. Replaced with IQ Air.

It sounds more like a fan on low or medium speed
I've had my AeroCure One for 2 days now, bought it straight from their website so I wouldn't have to pay any sales taxes. It has only one speed and it is not loud at all. I saw one review that compared the noise to a dishwasher and it is quieter than that. It sounds more like a fan on low or medium speed. After a few minutes of operation I noticed a smell that made me feel as if I were in a clinical environment. It is probably caused by the UV lamps and after some time you get used to it and don't even notice. If you were to leave and run a few errands you would definetly notice it again. My apartment is 875 square feet and I placed it in my living area behind my tv and home theater equipment where all the dust gathers and it has made a difference in the dust that I see. Before setting up your unit I would recommend giving your carpet a good cleaning to get rid of all the dust. I used to wake up every morning sneezing with a running nose and this unit has pretty much cut down on that by 95%. I used to own one of those Austin air cleaners and while it did a good job it sounded like an F-15 getting ready to take off when you used its highest speed. I also used to have an AlenBreathe Smart cleaner which does not even use a true hepa filter. I don't know if the AeroCure was available 2 years ago but I could have save myself a lot of money and hassle had I bought it first. UPDATE - May 5 - It has been almost 3 months since I've had the Aero Cure and the filter life is down to 2% and I'm probably just going to order the Hepa filter and not the pre-filter because the instructions say you can vacuum it clean but after another 3 months go by I'll probably buy a new one.UPDATE - May 12 - When my filter indicator reached 2% I went ahead and order a new one. While I'm waiting for it to arrive the display finally reaches zero filter life and my new one still had not arrived yet. I still let the Aero continue running believing that it would still be effective and I was right. Last night before I went to bed I took a swiffer duster and went over my speakers, tv and other home theater components. This morning when I woke up very little dust had resettled/ Once I get my new filter I'm going to hold off putting it in, see how much longer the old one lasts.
