Great value for money, and they work.
For the price these deep cutters can't be beaten. I am a pipe fitter working on heavy gauge steel water and gas pipes. I know I am pushing these tools probably to there limits when cutting holes into such heavy pipe material. The fact is, if I can get 10 holes from a cutter it has earned it's money. The secret is to use a pillar drill with the job securely clamped down of you want them to last. the weakness of the cutter usual show up when using a hand drill . If the operator doesn't hold the bit square, doesn't lubricate or drills to fast it's possible for the carbide teeth to fall out. That is not usually down to the manufacturer but the user. All outlet holes in the pipe shown in the photo were cut with these cutters.

Great Value for Money
At such a reasonable price (I normally pay four times this amount for Armeg cutters), I had very low expectations from these cutters. I have been very impressed with the result. As per the advice from one of the other reviews, I mounted the cutter in a pillar drill and used light but constant pressure and a low speed. I also made sure that I frequently lubricated with Tufcut cutting fluid. The result is that I have now made 110 notch cuts in 40x40x3mm mild steel box section with a single cutter and it is still going strong. I would definitely purchase again in the future.

Hard steel cutting
I bought the 60mm to drill into a piece of 6mm 316 stainless steel. Despite using copious amounts of oil, slow cutting speed of 250rpm and a gentle feed rate I couldn’t get beyond 3mm before it ceased to cut. I then had to resort to chain drilling and a small cold chisel, followed by a half round file.Ok 316 stainless is tough stuff but I did expect it to at least complete this one job. I would imagine it would have been ok in mild steel, wood and plastic. It looked like it would do the job but n my instance it simply failed.

Exactly what I needed.
So glad I bought this. I had been struggling to drill 18mm holes in some steel plate until I bought this little gem. Literally went through 8mm plate like a knife through butter. I used it with a low end pillar drill and took my time and the results were fantastic. Drill bit still looks fresh. My only negative observation is that the spring fell out of the bit after only a few holes were cut and doesn’t want to stay back in. Not the end of the world but a shame as it does work well to remove the cut piece after drilling. Will def buy again if a need more sizes.

Excellent hole saw
I bought this for cutting hole's in 22mm chipboard flooring and it was brilliant. Super clean cut , fast too. Worked fine with a decent cordless drill. The pilot drill came out a couple of times and doesn't look as robust as the starret one's that I'm used to.Far superior to regular hole saws and worth paying the premium when accuracy, speed and longevity are important.

Rubbish!
I dislike the fact the product broke after a single use, a conventional hole saw is far more robust, the housing material of this product is very very poor quality, it is not a ductile material which is required for this type of tool and breaks like glass.

Top tool
Not cheap but in this case you get what you pay for. Worth every penny after wearing out substandard versions this went through like a knife through butter. It took all the effort out of the job by doing exactly what it was supposed to do and still look brand new and ready for more. Highly recommended for any campervan build or tool box.

Very poor quality
I bought 3 of these drill bits intending to cut through some steel.I would not recommend buying these for cutting metal. The grub screw to tighten the auger (central) bit does not tighten correctly so the central drill bit goes round and round and the hole saw element doesn’t move.In addition- the central drill bit is not sharp/tough and barely made a dint in the surface after 15mins constant contact and drilling. I tried to use 2 of the 3 I bought and found them both faulty, have since thrown all 3 away. Complete rubbish - extremely poor quality and not fit for purpose.
