My grandson, who is almost 4, has developed a passion for hats. Any hat; every hat. So for Christmas, we bought him this collection.The objective value, if it exists, might make this less than 4 stars. Everything here is plastic or synthetic. The skull and crossbones on the pirate hat will peel off sooner or later. But oh, they make that boy happy! The fire fighters hat is his favorite, but he also loves the crown and as mentioned, the pirate hat Another positive feature is what isn't in the set: no cop hat. If there had been one, either we or the little guy's parents would have pulled it out and thrown it in the trash, so we were pleased not to have paid for an unusable item.These will never become heirlooms, but they made our darling boy happy, and his enjoyment has continued rather than being one of the toys he plays with once or never. We couldn't ask for more.

My sons love these hats. They play with them all the time. The pirate hat doesn't really look like the three corner pirate hat that I think of. On the plus side if you turn it so the skull and crossbones isn't visible, it doubles at a good bull fighter hat. The pirate hat has been turned inside out, chewed on, sat on, etc. It's pretty sturdy. We lost the crown fairly quickly so I don't know how sturdy it is. The fireman hat is well made too and is adjustable on the inside. My eldest son is 2 and will probably still be able to wear the fireman hat for a few years. The pirate hat fits him well right now.

Pirate and fireman hat is great! Kings hat so disappointed. Within 2 mins of play can apart. I put together came apart jewels came off...ugh

Not made to last past 1 or 2 wears

This was bought mainly for the fireman hat. The fireman hat was great and has held up to my three year old playing with it. The crown however didn't last through the first day. The pirate hat has held up so far.

The kids will get lots of imaginative use from these hats. one jewel from the crown came off in transport helping me to realize the need to pay extra attention when the smaller kids use it (choke hazard)

The pirate hat is really small for the style, but everything is as pictured. We bought this primarily for the firefighter helmet, and were not disappointed. If you are buying this primarily for the pirate hats, I would definitely not recommend this set. Everything looks good from a distance, but close up it's all very cheap.

These are good for kids dress up, though they are a bit large for my little kids' heads (3 and 6 yrs). The king hat hasn't held up so well. Most of the jewels have fallen off and it is coming apart.
