No more 10.8 kw shower
This shower is awesome. From the ability to control it from my phone and everyone in the house having their own settings to the fact it runs from my gas boiler. Only downsides are it’s quite a job to install and is very expensive to buy hence 4 stars not 5

Do yourself a favour and dodge this model
I already had an aqualisa installed which I was very happy with. The interface was button driven as opposed to this model with a digital touch display. I can't speak for other models/versions, but this one (Optic Q) requires a reboot (power off and back on) approximately every two weeks. I've seen a number of faults such as1) The display fails to allow you to start the shower - it just doesn't fire up as its supposed to do when touched.2) The shower starts, but then you can't stop when you've completed your shower as the touch display has stopped working whilst you're having a shower... nice. Now you have to go up into a freezing cold loft after your shower (season depending) to reset the damn thing. All the time water is going down the drain - turned to cold to avoid draining all hot water away.3) The shower indicates that its starting, but no water comes out. Regardless how many times you try, no water flows even though the display/unit thinks its workingAll issues require a power down to reset. Clearly full of software bugs or more worryingly hardware faults. Do yourself a favour and save some money by going for the simplistic version.

Optic Q Smart shower not very smart.
ProsIt works if you use the controller in shower and forget about the 'smart' features.Cons - (mainly to do with the smart features, the WiFi connection between this shower and my internet connection is perfect, the WiFi router it is connected to is 3 metres away from the shower through plasterboard, not stone or metal)You cannot set the default temperature, every time you use this shower you have to increase the temperature from 39 degrees if this isn't hot enough for you. It does not remember the previous settings you used when you switched it on, it's not very smart. You cannot set the default temperature for the remote to use, as above, you can switch it on with the remote but then have to set the temperature to your preferred temp whilst in the shower. The remote also only works 3 out of 4 times - it is located 1 meter from the shower, at the other side of a glass screen, so distance from shower is not a problem. The integration to Alexa is broken. It worked 1 time after adding the skill to Alexa, every time after that either 1) Alexa cannot find the device, or 2) Something went wrongIn both cases, anyway up to 1 hour after asking the shower to come on - it will randomly be switched on which is a nightmare if you don't happen to be in the house when it decides to switch itself on!The phone app is not much better. The statistics on water usage/shower length worked for first week, since then it is hit and miss whether the shower length/water consumption is logged and when it is it only appears on the week/month views, never the daily view.Overall, this is a very, very disappointing smart shower.
