It works great!
I have a first generation Roomba that one day simply stopped working. I made the assumption that the battery must have finally died, and ordered this to replace it, making sure that it would fit the model of my specific Roomba. Immediately upon replacing it (very simple to install), my Roomba began working like new! It is still quite powerful after several months, is clearly durable, as yet shows no signs of aging. It still recharges quickly, too! Excellent value!

previous Melasta battery for Roomba only lasted 16 months
I rated it a 5 so it would be read but rating it only a 2. It fit and worked but I would expect a battery to last more than 16 months (warranty is 12). Error code 5 is what the Roomba indicated and according to the IRobot site, it basically says the first course of action is to verify the battery is an official IRobot battery. Guilty. Battery that failed is a lithium 4400 mAh. Considering we only use it once a week or so and our rooms are small, that's not many hours on the battery. The original battery lasted over 7 years so I was going to buy an IRobot battery this time but they only offer a NiMH battery and I wanted a lithium since they offer more watthours. IRobot doesn't offer a lithium battery for this model (655) so I reluctantly bought another Melasta lithium 5000 mAH so maybe I should rate it a 3 since I did buy another one. If this one goes kaput after 16 months then I think maybe the charging circuit on this 655 model is not really meant to charge lithium.

Works great with our Roomba
Didn't know how I was going to like it at first. But it charges just like any other battery. The power lasts much longer than the old battery did. It's super easy to uninstall and reinstall. There are no jumps or any issues of functionality. And it was a good price.

Stopped working after 8 uses.
The battery worked perfectly for about 8 times that I used the robot in 2 months, and then it started to give message of error 5 when try to charge. It just didn't work anymore. I bought another one, this time Ni-mh and the roomba worked again. I don't recommend this product.

Battery did not last but good customer service made up for it
I purchased this battery in March 2024, and it stopped holding charge suddenly in September 2024. It worked great until then and the failure was sudden. While the battery didn’t last, I reached out to the manufacturer and they issued a full refund. It’s unfortunate that it stopped working, but I’d give the brand another chance as they made the situation right.

Worked great!
The battery is a perfect replacement for the original iRobot Roomba 890. Dropped right in and charged perfect. Can't say what the longevity will be but I expect it to be good.

Worked Great!
Easy to install, after allowing it to charge overnight it ran and ran the next day for hours! I bought this Roomba 655 in Calif. In approx 2016. Replaced the battery once, but it never ran for more than 20-30 minutes. Now I realize I might not have installed the last one correctly!Thank you!

Going strong
Our old roomba can now complete a cycle without dying somewhere midway through vacuuming an hour into the job. The run cycle is now just as good if not better than it was when it was new. Definitely worth the price of replacing if it saves me from buying a new vacuum
