Eating pistachios and reading is hard.
Eating pistachios while reading is very hard. It takes two hands to open a pistachio and you need at least one hand to hold on to a book properly.sometimes the shells get stuck together and require a lot of force and often the book that you have precariously balanced closes and you lose your spot.sure you can crack the spine and force the book to stay open, but you are ultimately going to end up with pistachio dust in the creases of your pages.I once knew a guy that saved those pistachios that had no openings, that appeared to be sealed shut, for over a year just to put them in a jar and give them to someone for the holidays. That was very devious.I assume eating any other nut That needed to be shelled while reading would also be difficult, but I prefer pistachios. I once had a bag of pistachios that came without the shell, but they got stale after a few days and I've never bought a bag that were shelled again.

Literally the Funniest Book I've Ever Read!
I look forward to any sequel Dan Hardcastle pumps out because omg in-between some existential dread and amazing game descriptions, you find an in depth look at real comedy through nerdiness.Other highlights is his chapter about Skyrim where he an his companion slaughter the students at Hogwarts and the chapter about Kerball Space Program which always has me laughing out loud.10/10

Humor with video games
I enjoy Dan and his humor quite a lot. This book is Dan through and through. He talks about his love for video games. Reading this book felt like I was listening to him talk over a video game, or talk on one of the podcats. The book is full of humor, chuckles and laughs. I recommend picking up the book even if you don't know the author. If you're a fan of video games, it's a great and fun read.

Incredible Book.
If you are skeptical about buying a youtubers book, throw away all preconceptions you have, Dan (NerdCubed) did an incredible job of writing a book that not only tells you the history of videos games, but does it through telling you about personal experiences Dan has had. I genuinely think that this is the first book I genuinely laughed out loud reading.

The best of Dan, in book form!
If you like videogames, get this book. If you like Nerdcubed, get this book. If you like British humor, get this book! This book is honestly just Dan's humor in book form and its fantastic. It's also really nice to hear stories from his childhood that he's never really told before, which I love and makes it a genuinely awesome reading experience, get this book!

The Title is Accurate
This book, from cover to cover, embodies the clever and over-the-top humor that has paved the road for Daniel Hardcastle (a.k.a Nerd³). He is witty, grandiose and over all unendingly entertaining. Whether you're a fan or not, this is a book all lovers of video games and comedy should read.

A fantastic book. Whether you know anything about games or not!
Dan's audio book is wonderful; humour, wit and genuine warmth in equal measure, by far my favourite way to enjoy his book. I do also have the print book, Mr. Rebecca's illustration's alone are worth having the hard copy (with strong exception however to that Tomb Raider III drawing, nothing could have prepared me for that. Nothing!).Dan's commentary, intro and outro music have soundtracked my high school years and beyond (since the recent return of his old introduction I have psychologically regressed back to 13 years old, I love every second of it to this day.My Dad on the other hand has never played a game, or had any interest in them, but is interested all things creative (films and books mainly) and talking about them. He has LOVED the audiobook, only stopping his laughter to make sure he didn't miss any of the stories being told. I really think the book has inspired a great amount of interest in this new world for my Dad. Whether you know anything about Dan or not, the audio book is well worth listening to. Whether you know anything about games or not, this book is well worth reading.

Passion hilarity and just all-around nerdiness
No word of a lie, this is the second attempt at writing this review because in my last one I may have placed a profanity in the detain with the title but it was taken down because it was against guidelines. This book is awesome not only because it's about video games but you can tell that Daniel Hardcastle generally cares and has a flair for and a soft spot for video games. You might think well surely once you've played one video game they're pretty much all similar but with each video game discussed in this book they are also vastly different. What I also love is the fact that this book proves that video games are a good influence or can be a good influence in society because it is an example of the fact that people can come together because of video games.

F*ck Yeah, A Damn Good Read!
Youtuber Daniel Hardcastle, also known as Nerdcubed, takes us on a journey through the history of video games in a thoroughly entertaining manner, with a humorous look at a lot of titles that have stood out and become almost legendary, along with a few you may never even have heard of before (but will want to play afterwards)! It's not often that I pick up a book and can't put it down, but I read it entirely yesterday from cover to cover (....well, maybe I skipped all the backer names) on a day off, and will honestly be recommending it to anyone who's ever enjoyed playing a video game. Ever.

Well done Dan and Rebecca!!
This book is so entertaining and I absolutely love it! It is clear Dan and Rebecca and the rest involved have worked so hard and it is definitely worth a read if you like video games and humour. Having grown up watching Dan on YouTube, I am amazed that he is now an author and I’m so proud!
