Small, Compact, and Rugged
I had never heard of Maxpedition Gear until I bought one of their "Tritium" keyrings (I've since bought two more). I was so impressed with the keyring that I took a look at their other products. I've been looking for a very small, compact, rugged wallet and this looked like a good fit for my needs. A while ago I switched to a very slim leather case that barely holds three credit cards, two ID cards, and a couple of insurance cards -- all the really "critical" stuff. However, that left me with needing a way to carry a few more insurance cards, some business cards, a little bit of folding money, and the occasional bit of note paper, tickets, etc. I wanted something small and compact that I can stick in a front pocket, and it needed to be rugged because it shares that pocket with coins and also keys on occasion (so no soft leather). This Micro Wallet is working out perfectly for me. It really can hold quite a bit of stuff despite its small size. It does NOT have any closure mechanism (e.g., Velcro, etc.), but I find that it does stay closed properly. I almost ordered black because I always go for a very conservative look, but decided on the khaki in stead and I think it is very attractive.

Small, functional, rugged (Not a discounted/promo review)
TLDR; This is my new favorite wallet, used everyday, and would buy it again without a doubt.Bought because I wanted a small, easy-use wallet that fit nicely in my front pocket. This would be my main daily-use wallet, with a larger one I use as needed that contains the less used credit, membership, and various other cards. As hoped--this little guy is exactly what I needed. It easily fits my driver's license and metro transit card in the inside slot with the clear plastic. The plastic window is too small to view the entire driver's license, so I still need to take it out to show people checking ids. I fit a credit card and cash (folded in half) in the double inside slots. Folded receipts fit well sandwiched inside until I can drop them off at home. I don't use the external slot on the back as much, as it didn't seem as secure to keep a card from slipping out when handled. That slot works well for short-term use, like holding my laundry card. Since this wallet is not RFID blocking and thin enough, I am able to scan my metro transit card without having to remove it from the wallet. After using this for a few months, the canvas material is holding up extremely well, has no discoloration, and there is only a slight fray on the stitching for the attached Maxpedition logo. There is a slight curve in the corners, probably from how it sits in my front pocket, but it does not impact the feeling or function of the wallet whatsoever.I DID NOT receive any discounts, free samples, or other offers for this wallet. I am a regular Amazon customer that appreciates reviews from similar buyers.

My perfect wallet
With this purchase I bought the Maxpedition Keyper. And both are very solid, durable, good quality products. This wallet is my first "minimalist" wallet and has gone beyond my expectations. The thin, minimalist design and tough materials are great. I emptied out my old tri-fold wallet and couldn't believe how much nonsense I was carrying around with me. I placed all cards I need every day, along with several bills inside my wallet and it all fits perfectly. I actually still have a bit more room for more bills and/or cards. I could easily use this as a front pocket wallet if I wanted to.

Great slim, lightweight, compact EDC wallet that fits in the smallest of places and pockets.
I love it. Simply said it is superior to my old leather fossil wallets that I would buy on clearance and have to replace every year due to how much stress I put on my EDC gear. I have since switched from the back of pocket carry of the traditional wallet to keeping this in my left pocket and sometimes I wonder if it's even in there at all!Need a slim wallet just to carry ID, one or two cards, and some cash while not breaking the bank or touting any fancy technology? This will more than 'fit the bill'.If you buy it now let me tell you that although it cannot hold as much as its bigger brother the 'Maxpedition Spartan' or the 'Maxpedition C.M.C.' but for edc when you have multiple items like a folder, pen light, pen, and other items in your regular jean pockets this wallet will definitely outshine it's siblings.Buy it now before the price goes up!

Great quality, but functionality could be better.
I hold Maxpedition to a higher standard than most manufacturers. Their quality is unsurpassed and the thought that goes into their product development is usually spot on. With the relatively new entry of minimalist wallets into the marketplace, there are bound to be a few bumps along the road. While many of the reviews have gone over the benefits of this wallet, I am going to express my hopes for the "next version" they come up with:1. Width: the wallet is approx .25" wider than it needs to be. This really isn't a factor foe the cards using the inside pockets, however as a result of the width, I have had cards slip out of the back pocket.2. ID Sleeve/Back Pocket: It would be beneficial if the ID Sleeve and the Back pocket were switched. Doing so would allow for ID to be presented without opening the wallet and allow for a good place to carry bills on the inside.3. A strip of Velcro at the bottom o the wallet could keep it closed, securing the contents. I have had it open in a cargo pocket and spill the cards out.

Expected better from Maxpedition
The clear window is too wavy not straight as it should and everything i put inside any wallet pockets keeps slipping out slowly as it doesn't hold any id or card properly, stitching and materials are very good quality, price is ok too, but the pockets could be more tightNot bad for a basic wallet if you are like me, not carrying cash much and i only carry change in pocketsthanks to its small size it fits in any pocket and is very discreet, meaning hard to spot for thieves, which is why i only carry this style of wallets
