Disappointing and overpriced for what it is
This book could use some work. It has the basics but I was expecting a lot more. If I had to make a guess I would say that the guy that wrote the book has little to no experience with machining other than what he read or learned in other books. It's a serious handicap that needs to be fixed. It's as if you had football fans write a book on how to play football. They know the terminology but they have no real experience. It's downright frustrating and sad. If you're buying the book for information on machining titanium you're better off just talking to tool manufacturers and getting Titanium and Titanium Alloys Source Book. If you're getting this book for an engineering course and have no intent of actually machining titanium then this book is adequate. If you're expecting a normal textbook you're in for a surprise. It's as if they took a wikipedia article and made a book out of it.
