Cannot be set on a mode of your choosing. If turned off they default to demo mode. Fine if you have them indoors but I wanted to use them outside and its not practical to go from tree to tree to stop the cycling through the modes. Wish I had read the other reviews, very disappointing.

The media could not be loaded.  The lights are a great warm hue, and the lights have a smaller bulb that incandescent lights but same level if brightness as the regular clear Xmas lights (you can see the comparison between a 100-bulb string of incandescent lights with this one long string of LED’s in the video attached). There are quite a few lights, and I also like the setup that the cord attachments are covered with plastic, making it seem safer to be outside in rain.The problem is that you can find a setting you like, but after they get turned off, they come back in the same primary seeing that cycles through all the rest. So it’ll be about 15 sec of twinkling, then blinking wildly, then slow mo, then fade, and flashing on/off, and keeps cycling. These don’t work if you want to use a timer or just click white lights off and on. I wish I would’ve known that before putting lights on my tree. No worth it for us.

They are not as bright as similar lights. But you cannot go wrong with the price/value. It does get really tangled when you first tried to put it on the tree, so I would suggest that you untangle it prior to trying to put in on the tree.

Dynamic Duo: great lights at a great price!We used this long strand for our 5ft Christmas tree and it looks great! Because of the length we were able to use this one strand on the inner and outer portion of our tree but what’s great is if we get a larger tree in the future it’s still long enough to only use one strand! Keeps us from having to buy more strands of lights!The fact that these little LED lights don’t get hot are another plus and they have tons of light options. As seen in the picture these are on the flashing option BUT I honestly have to say my favorite option is the dimming one! Allows us to have our Christmas tree on at night while watching our favorite Christmas shows without the obnoxious glare on the TV!If you’re on the fence about these lights, just buy them! You won’t be disappointed!

I love them, but I need to read more. I have them on a timer, and every time they turn back on, they start the process of going through ALL of the modes until I go and get them stay solid.

Nice length and all the lights work. I didn't know that it came with features such as alternating or twinkling or fading in and out modes. I just want a string of lights. It obviously has a steady mode but it seems to change at will. I have been sitting on the porch to nice steady lights and all of a sudden they decide to go in to twinkling mode. It's easy enough to change back but I shouldn't have to. Either way it's not enough to make me return them. But a heads up would have been nice.

Everything you turn them off you have to reset the setting. The opposite of set it and forget it.

My first order of them had worked when I initially plugged them in to test them out but when plugging them in the next day outdoors the lights did not work when other lights separate from these were functioning. These lights do in fact get tangled so keep in mind that it might take some time to untangle them after wrapping them up again after using them. Lights were bright on the first plugin but didn’t work for the outdoor use. Will review the replacements when they arrive.
