Murder, mayhem, & misogyny
I had some friends over, including some spouses I didn't know well, and this provided great structure for an evening of entertainment. We had a wonderful time reading various clue sheets out loud and pondering the mystery as a group. You solve a mini mystery at each of three steps (like, whose alibi doesn't match, where is the body buried, that kind of thing), and at each of the three checkpoints go to a web page to see if you have gotten the step right; if you do get it right you open a new envelope with more evidence. I wish the game didn't depend on a web page, since it means I can't squirrel them away on my shelf for (possibly) years. But overall, for the price it was a fantastic evening, and we had a great time. The 1940's-era misogyny is heavy, and it reduced how much we enjoyed it, but overall it was a 5-star experience and for a group, absolutely worth the money. We'll be doing more, hopefully set in a less frustrating era.

Super detailed, nice touches, hard but rewarding, for serious amateur detective geeks.
Outstanding. This was so fun. My GF and I did it and it was NOT easy, but so rewarding because of it. It took us 3 different sessions of about 2 or 3 hours each to go through the mission and finally solve the case (yes we did it!) So many nice touches like the news video at the end and I won't spoil anything but, if you are a patient, clever, solve-the-crime type, you will LOVE this. This was our first game like this and we are hooked. RIP Veronica Falcone.

Challenging and incredibly well done!
Incredibly well done! A great game to keep you entertained for quite a while. It’s challenging, but we didn’t need to ask for hints and we were able to solve it. Totally recommendable

Fun!
This was super fun my husband and I and our 16-year-old loved it. Very well put together. I’ll be purchasing another one.

Fun + Frustrating + critical-thinking+ togetherness=time well spent
3 hours of fun, frustration, critical-thinking, and togetherness for a dad and his daughter. Would recommend for ages 14+. The only complaint is that you can’t use the set more than once. Will be passing this along to another friend/family to enjoy. (Daughter is now asking for another case to solve)

Fantastic, best of the series so far
I've played about a half dozen of these Mystery Casefiles games (which are far superior to the To Hunt a Killer games in my opinion). This one is BY FAR my favorite! So many details, so many smart storylines and diversions. I had a good idea of who pretty early but getting to the motive was a real challenge but an enjoyable one. The struggle was fun instead of frustrating and I really appreciated that this one didn't hold your hand while you went through it. I actually felt like I was doing detective work instead of playing a game. Loved it!

Great fun for wannabe detectives
So much fun! This was the first time my spouse and I played this type of game, but won't be the last! It was very challenging and we did have to get hints since we were noobs. It took us about 4 hours over 2 nights, but it was so enjoyable we didn't even notice the time flying by. Everything included felt top notch and not cheap in the slightest. We will definitely be buying more Unsolved Case File products!

Wait, we need evidence?
Right up front let me put a disclaimer: this is not a *short* game. I bought this as something fun to do when my best friend came to stay with me for a weekend. We're both true crime fans, so this seemed like a great idea. After watching a movie we hated we busted out the game, thinking it would maybe take a couple hours and we could watch another movie after before calling it a night. SIX HOURS later we are dying laughing as we finally solve the case. We weren't laughing because the game was funny - we were laughing at our own stupidity. As we had read statements and articles we would stop and discuss, trying to discover motives and guilt amongst the sizeable case file. Once we got through all the paperwork and it was time to submit our first guess online we realized we had done it all wrong. The first thing we had to submit was EVIDENCE for why to open the case. We had to toss aside all our hair-brained accusations and start scrutinizing everything all over again. I'm sure this could be played in less time than we took, but I don't think it was ever going to be the 2 hours we had originally planned. We may have been delusionally laughing at 2 am because of getting hung up on something stupid, but it was so worth it! The game was fun, with some incredibly cringey parts that you won't be able to help but laugh at. The amount of information and the way the game is presented is really great. I highly recommend, and look forward to being able to buy another one of these in the near future.
