Great Deal-Great Fit

There is nothing easy about mounting these, but that isn't Amazon's fault, it is Ford for requiring removal of the back seat.After installation, my car rides smoothly again.

The only dislike was that I had to drill and tap the brake line connector. Its pre-drilled so not to bad. Do not use the bolt to tap the hole! You will strip the bolt and have to order one. Most auto parts stores do not stock it. Not to bad DETROIT!

The picture shows what looks like front struts and rear sway bar links (front strut sway link mounts are vertical on front struts, horizontal on rears). I can confirm I received both rear struts and the correct sway bar links. They were packaged well, both struts separately boxed with the sway links in one of the strut boxes and those boxes in a box that snugly fit the pair. About twice as heavy as my beat up factory rear struts I was pretty happy with the eye test. Looking at the sway links coming out of the box you'll wonder how they're going to fit but a quick look at the new links next to the old ones and you'll see they should fit no problem, and did. I have about 150 miles on them so far in various test drives and they appear to be a pretty decent set of struts and sway links.

Can't be beat for the price. I've bought two sets. I put a set on my brother in laws 1998 Taurus almost two years later and no problems. I just bought a set for my 1999 Taurus. Word of advice but the sway bar links while your at. Make sure your car has them though because my 1999 with drum brakes didn't have them(was built that way no one took them off I work at a ford dealer). My brother in laws with disk brakes did have them. Not sure if what style rear brakes you have is what makes the difference but that was the only noticeable difference I could see.

Easy install, everything fit well. Better than the OE I believe. Pricing is unbelievable when looking at the quality. Would def buy more products from Detroit axle.

im extremely disappointed in these shocks. i shouldve listened when the reviews said the ride height was not changed or too low. these didnt even make a difference from the stock shocks that 23 years old and shot. idk what to make of this, all that work and car sits just as low in the back. as you can see in stock images both front and back wheel wells have like 4-5 inches of clearance between the rear quarter and the tire with healthy shocks. the bad stock ones had like 1.5-2.5 inches of clearance, so i replace them with these, and still have 1.5-2.5 inches of clearance. i should have bought the monroe taxi package for a little bit extra, no doubt in my mind i would have my 4-5 inches of clearance in the back again. i literally am depressed about this
