Love this chess set!
Love everything about this set. Chess set as art. But I make the opening move and when my husband comes home, he takes his move. Back and forth over as many days as it takes. The little blue marker magnet gets moved to indicate who's move is next. Easy to hang. Very nice board surface. Pieces are nice quality. There were a few scratches on black frame, too bad. Using sharpee to cover up. Really a fun set, don't think you'd be disappointed. Oh and it arrived fast and was packed sufficiently. The spots I mentioned above look to be production flaws not shipping damage.

🇺🇸 Made in U.S.A ! 🇺🇸
I am so very happy with this chess board. I bought it as a gift for my husband birthday. I was afraid it was just goint to be painted tin in a cheap W@\-Mart frame. To the contrary. The surface feels textured and appears to be washable with a damp cloth. It's playing serface is ample. The magnetic pieces hold well. the frame is solid in weight. It appears to be a laminated compressed wood. But not distasteful by all means. The board itself is of good weight as well. I was very proud to see the " Made in U.S.A." sticker on back and even the frame is marked made in America 🇺🇸 There was even a card in the box to order new chess pieces if we were to miss place any down the road.

Decorative and functional
My son who plays chess moved into a new house. His walls were bare so when I saw this I sent it. He liked it, and when I told him it could hang on the wall he was surprised. The pieces did stay.

Good quality chess set!
I really like this set, the frame is clean and modern, the faux marble is nice, and the pieces hold on very well to the board. My reasoning for knocking off one star is that the 'white' chess pieces aren't actually white, they're cream, and because everything else is so nice and bright white, it stands out.

Quality Chess
The board is good quality, on printed canvas, and the magnetic pieces seem to be strong and hold onto the board pretty well. I love that it’s made in the US of A, bc ‘Merika, amiright?! 🤘🇺🇸I never sit down to play chess, but this is an easy way to keep a game going without some miscreant (child, pet, zombie) ruining the setup. Also, please note:The stock photo shows a chess board set up incorrectly. White square is always on the bottom right.

Fine basic wall chess set...at premium prices
We've had this for a year now and have hung it in two different places so I think it's fair to say this is completely adequate and usable but but not the quality one would expect at the price we paid. Some tips first:- you can't hang this for side to side (as opposed to top and bottom) play without drilling a new hole in the back for attaching a screw hole hanger. You definitely want screws if you're going to play it with any frequency; using a picture hanger is too rickety and the board moves around. The picture of side to side play in the listing is misleading.- the small vinyl pads for the bottom of the board are useless: the adhesive held for about two minutes after hanging vertically on the wall.- while you technically can just lift this off the wall and play it on a table top, this seems ill-advised: the metallic board is flimsy and unless you put every piece down lightly, you can easily bend it out even break it out of the frame.Pros: the fake marble pattern is actually quite attractive on the wall. The border is sufficiently large to place captured pieces. It's about the right size: it is efficient use of weak space without being too small to pay with easily. The "turn marker" is nice, although if you lose it any magnet will do. Made in America, per the stamp on the back.Cons: no second Queen included. No storage container. Frame had a visible seam in one corner out of the box and in general it's a bit on the flimsy side (presumably to keep the overall weight down). See notes about the vinyl feet and lack of flexibility for hanging orientation. The felt on the bottom of the pieces is nice but they do come off easily if, day, you accidentally touch a piece while playing another one.Bottom line: I would warmly recommend this...at half the price. It's very low end, and the only really unique thing here is the magnetics... You could draw a chess board on a magnetic dry erase board just as easily if you had magnetic pieces. No second Queen seems to be adding insult to injury.
