Excellent running shoes.
These are my go to running shoe. They fit true to size and provide good stability. They also breathe well. After I wear them out from running I wear them for walking around.

Love them so far
I'm a big guy- 6'1" 250lbs and 38 years old. I've dropped 50lbs in the last 4 months and decided to start training for a 5k. I bought these in the neon yellow and black color scheme thinking they were so bright that it would help me keep them dedicated to running and not beating around in them. When they arrived my 8y/o daughter said, "Oh dad, you'd embarrass me wearing those in public"...so perhaps they are more versatile than I thought. The fit was great right out of the box. I've always worn a size 12 in everything from dress shoes and boots to Asics, Saucony, Adidas, and Mizuno- only Nike and Reebok seem to run small for me. Size 12 in these was perfect. I've been on two runs with them and wore them for a boxing conditioning work out so far. They feel great in the heel (no slippage) and no pressure points or blisters to speak of. I'm not an overpronator but like how these stability shoes can blend cushion with support. At my size I want cushion for my joints but have had some neutral running shoes that just feel squishy- they absorb shock but lack support. Just putting these on I could feel the cushion in the heel and forefoot and they felt great running. A stable run with good arch support, no shin splints and my feet feel great. Too soon to comment on durability but I have had good success with Asics in the past.

Good Fit, Comfortable
These fit my short wide feet very well. For 15 years I could order ASICS in 8 medium and they fit perfectly. In the past year or so they've changed their sizing (to a more standard fitting, I assume) so that a medium is uncomfortable narrow on me. Now I have to order a wide (2E). There is much less style selection in this width, but the fit is once again perfect. In the past I've worn Cumulus, Nimbus, and Kayano and been pleased to grant 5 star ratings. These GT 2000s are comfortable for all-day walking and for runs of about 2 miles, but for me they seem to lack forefoot cushioning on runs of 5k - not a huge deal but not as comfortable on a long (for me) run as the others have always been. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. Very good, just not as great as expected. Next time I'll probably go with Cumulus or Kayano.

Life sucks sometimes
I was very skeptical at first about ordering shoes and/or clothes from the online stores. I know Amazon has a great refund policy so I went with that before ordering. I ordered two pair of asics walking/running shoes. Both the same size and almost the same design. If they fit, I will wear one pair and stash the other. I have found, as I grow older, finding something that I like especially shoes and clothing , it's almost imperative that I buy two of. I'm a bulk buyer when I have the funds. Just easier to cope with life in general. I'm 69 and have learned in the trial and error theory. It has worked for me. Tom Cheek alias "FAROUT MAN"PS And remember-Ain't no finer than a 69er!

Get your Forest Gump On!
Been an Asics person for many many years. I am aging, and have had a few knee surgeries, and a multitude of back and ankle injuries. I was perviously wearing the Gel Kayano's - which are great shoes. But when I switched over to the GT-2000's with the additional cushing and my pronation- I couldn't be happier.Normally I would need a solid day recovery (for my knees and back) after running; these are very supportive without being overly cushin-ey. I am now running every day with no issues (short 3-5 mile runs). If you have had knee and ankle issues in the past - I would take a closer look at these shoes. Pay attention to how you pronate. I am a over pronator (wear on my shoes typically comes from the outside edge of my heel).Oh and not too mention - they look cool also- which is really what matters the most. ;)

Great feeling, Not so great fabric for long haul
Shoe had a great feeling and the tread held up but the material was not to good for the long run hole in shoe by the 8 month mark of 60miles a week at work

Una zapatilla ideal para entrenar
Ya llevo varios pares de este modelo gt 2000 y estoy encantado con ellos, buena amortiguación y ningún roce en los entrenamientos.

A great step-up from conventional sneakers
I won't mention fit or performance as these criteria will vary quite a bit depending on the buyer. I do however consider these shoes to be a great value for anyone looking to upgrade from generic sneakers / running shoes.I was using a beat up pair from a big box store and it eventually led to a fairly bad case of shin splints. I was still a bit skeptical about the price-to-performance ratio, and on the overall level of comfort a 100$+ pair would bring. I've put them on as trainers for a few days, then went for a full 5K, on pavement. It basically felt like running it on grass, even with moderate pain from the shin splints (not fully healed). The difference is very appreciable, these shoes have terrific absorption while being soft and light (perfectly snug). By far the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned. Not sure about durability yet, but from my first week with them, I can tell the GT-2000 8 will prove to have been a worthwhile investment.

Great running shoes
An excellent shoe. ASICS always fit well. Minor complaint is that the soles are quite hard so a bit jarring on the feet. I have got used to them now.
