Suitcases are an extension of everyone’s armoire. People go far away from home carrying an important part of their lives, both, in essence and in objects…precious essence and objects. This suitcase represents what I bring along every time I’m away: I take with me not only my favorite outfits, but also my memories and feelings. Indeed, as I get to my destination, I unpack my clothes and start to reminisce everything I left behind; no wonder nostalgia is always around at those moments. The thick, heavy valise, resembles my old Samsonite that follows my footsteps wherever go, and has, instead of the two keyholes, the initial and final exclamation points used in Spanish to frame the emotions I will experience.
