I really like Konyaku. It has no taste and the texture has a bit of a bite- a bit rubbery, which I don’t mind. When you take out of the packet it really stinks, don’t worry, it DOES NOT taste like that. It’s a great healthy substitute for carb heavy pasta or noodles. Doesn’t really need cooking, just heating through so it’s quick also.

It really tastes of nothing so you totally depend on the sauce you make for it, and I found that it only really goes well with bolognaise. It is also a bit rubbery but it does do the job, considering you only eat it when you are on a diet and you crave pasta.

These are fantasic. Take out of pouch and rinse. Add straight to pan or wok. You will not know that these are not Pasta !! Simply brilliant .

After trying this low cal pasta alternative, it’s definitely not a product I would buy in future having had the opportunity to try. The noodles are ready hydrated and need just a minute or two to warm through before using. Each portion of noodles comes in two layers of plastic bag - something I found rather odd, and environmentally suboptimal. These smell nasty when the pack is opened, and it’s to remove the smell that it’s suggested you rinse them a few times before heating. Since they don’t reheat in the microwave inside the packet, it seems even more peculiar that there are two layers of plastic around these. Even after washing there’s a bit of lingering unpleasant aroma. For me this is improved a bit by opting to boil the noodles for a couple of minutes rather than zapping them in the microwave, though this is less convenient. A bit of odour lingers however they’re washed/cooked.The individual packs contain roughly one main meal portion, or two sides. The noodles look like tagliatelle, albeit tagliatelle which has been over cooked and gone translucent. They’re kind of odd in terms of mouth feel. The outer noodle seems quite pasta like, but when you bite into them they’re kind of tough and rubbery, and slightly squeaky. Not quite like the sensation of eating calamari, but along those lines. Despite their low cal, low carb composition they do feel quite satiating.These are expensive compared to pasta, and I’m not overly keen on the flavour or mouth feel as a pasta alternative. I’ll stick to using my spiraliser to make courgetti for my low carb, low cal pasta alternative.

This is seriously the worst thing I have tasted.

Love pasta but not the carbs. Thought I would try these with only 9 calories! Need rinsing and add lots of seasoning before cooking.
