Marginally acceptable with MAJOR caveats
Be careful. 3 complaints:1. The unit I received had the brushes bent inwards so that they got decimated by the sandpaper (one of the included six pieces) within 5 minutes. The sole job of these brushes are to completely surround the sand paper as it works, holding the drywall dust in the head so that your shop vac can suck it up and keep it out of the air. Worked great for 10 minutes, then it made the worst dust cloud I have ever seen from sanding drywall in my life! Which totally defeats the purpose of the equipment, as a sanding screen on a pole sander works better, without a lot more effort.2. Good luck attaching the hose to your shop vac. It does not fit either a Rigid, Craftsman or a Performax shop vac. I ran to Sears, Home Depot, Fleet Farm and Menards. Nobody had an attachment that would mate with this hose. So I had to make the hose larger with duct tape. This worked just fine, but what a pain!3. The standard hook and loop sandpaper you can find locally for the device is 9" and does not have the corresponding holes for the vacuum to work to it's potential. Not a problem until you look back at complaint no. 1 above. So you have to trim an 1/8" off to have the same size, which was too large and destroyed the brushes in the first place. The pad on the device is actually 8-1/4" so a better choice would be to trim it down to 8-1/2" to avoid damaging those VERY important brushes that surround the head. Now you just have to figure out how to put 10 holes in your sandpaper to match the corresponding holes in the sanding pad without making the paper raise in the area you placed the holes. Good luck!4. When working the tool you are not in a good position to judge your work as you run the sander over a spot. You have to trust it is doing a good job, then pull the tool away and move your body in closer to get a look at the result. Drywall sanding requires your constant attention to the result if your sanding/screening. If something hard gets into the screen or stuck on the paper you start working a gouge into your work. Best to catch that immediately, not after you worked over a 3 x 4' area!Other than that, the concept is somewhat sound. When it had the brush heads it kept the dust down to fantastically low levels, which was the primary reason I ordered the equipment.

Does the job but with effort
Works well but relatively heavy and awkward. Needed connections not included. No way to hook up for first use!
