What can I say that hasn't already been said about Case Knives. This one is such a work horse and is the perfect design for anyone that wants a good classic EDC. The blade is easy to sharpen and the knife is the perfect size to stick in your pocket.

Ive had a couple Case knifes when i was younger, but I never could keep up with them. I have carried a Old timer knife for the past year, and after putting that knife through just about everything at work, and not to mention keeping up with it; I knew I wanted to upgrade to something better. Before I bought this knife, I was looking for 2 things in particular. #1 - I refused to buy another Stainless Steel Knife. Yes their Nice and Shiny but you can only use them so much before they get dull again. So being Said, I wanted Carbon Steel, or in this case, Chrome Vanadium Steel. They seem to hold a Edge just a little bit Longer. #2 - I will not carry a Big Bulky Knife. I have always carried Single blade knives, but there is a downfall to only having that 1 blade, once its dull, thats it. And I Hate feeling like I got a big Swiss Army knife in my pocket all day when Im at work. So when i ran across this Decently priced Case XX, I knew I had to have it. Nothing fancy, just a good ole tradition style pocket knife. It works great and has a nice build quality to it and I look foward to using to using it for the many years to come. So if your looking for a Great knife and have the same similiar interest as I did, then i strongly suggest this one. You just simply cant go Wrong with it, weither its your first choice or not, you wont regret it. Hope this review might have helped in anyway.

This is my second Case knife ever, first one I ordered the bone stag (bone made to look like antler) Case Trapper and I thought I was receiving Carbon Steel, but received Stainless Steel due to Amazon’s poor inventory control/order selecting, wasn’t horribly miffed about it but was still semi disappointed after I got everything to care for a Carbon Steel knife. Love the first one I ordered, perfect SS (stainless steel) knife in all regards, quality, look, functionality (needed light sharpening to get the tiny burrs out) etc… but I still wanted a Carbon knife. So I got this one, first impression pretty good, not nearly as much sharpening needed as light as the last one, probably due to the nature of CS (Carbon Steel). I will say it isn’t quite of snappy so far when opening and closing, locks up good, the put away is a little catchy, but I expect that will smooth out, the important function is there. There are slight differences in the blade tips (seen in pictures) on both, not an issue just observations, both blades are a tad pointer on this CS which is nice. There is one blemish on the spade blade but it’s hardly noticeable (spot that shiny notch in the third to last picture) plus another on the other blade where the tip is slightly crooked to the right (seen in the two last picture) and to be honest who cares on a knife at this price? $200 or more sure, but it doesn’t effect anything in realistic use, if you’re super particular you might care but I won’t bother with a replacement over issues so small. Can’t wait to see how this blade patinas and any rusting should be on me since I’ve done the research on how to care for it. Don’t let it discourage you on buying a Carbon Steel version, I live in a dry State so it should be easier to maintain, I see a lot of comments on these knives that they rust easy but honestly I don’t think they know much about the nature of Carbon knives. If you’re worried get SS, I got these knives specifically for Quality Control at a produce warehouse so SS is great for that, the CS will be more everyday use but I wouldn’t mind seeing what an apple or peach does to the natural patina at work, just wipe your knife dry after using it on food!

Beautiful knife! Not a flaw with the fit and finish, and the yellow synthetic scales are more the color of yellowed ivory or bone, which I’m quite pleased with. The knife had No factory edge to speak of and I had to give it some TLC in that respect, but I never expect a good factory edge from any knife and prefer to do it myself anyhow. The carbon steel blades took a very sharp edge quickly and I forced a nice gray patina on the blades all easily within an hour.

Me esperaba una navaja mas filosa, pero esta bien. El tamaño de las hojas es grande, el envío demoró un poco pero llego bien. Update: la navaja si esta filosa, la use para "limpiar" una codorniz y el desempeño fue bueno. el único problemas es que la hoja de la navaja presenta unas manchas que no he podido quitarle...
