There is truth to the old adage "that you get what you pay for"This USB cable works perfectly.The previous cheap cable bent the pins on my iPod classic which required a repair to fix a short.

Official Apple cable for 30pin devices. Don’t waste your time on cheap alternatives and they either don’t work or break easy.

No data transferring
The item, unfortunately, does not data exchange and my single reason for this was to music file transfer via the correct port of a Mini F56. But it’s a total failure and so it’s being returned !Do check on the suitability for your purpose, as on Mini/BMW the prompt is “Inappropriate for Data Transfer”
