REC-MOUNTS REC-B66 Hot Shoe Mount for GoPro Hero Series, Shoot Pictures and Videos Simultaneously (REC-B66)

THE GOOD:1) It's made of metal, sure feels like it. Like it is machine made. Very nice. You can feel the quality, but for the price I would certainly hope so. It fits in very well with the existing GoPro hardware line up.2) The shoe part has canted edges so they can slide into a hot shoe very easily. Very nice thought. It can also fit on sideways should you want to do that.THE BAD:1) It does not come with a GoPro type of screw for the mount. You get a small screw that needs a hex wrench to undo. I used pliers. Anyway now I need to snag an extra GoPro screw from my stash. I like the GoPro ones much better as they have a large black grip for your fingers. I was a little bothered by this but then when looking at the picture here online there is no GoPro screw. So just be aware, you do not get one, and you will probably want one.2) The bottom of the mount is metal, but if not, it does have a metal screw in the bottom, large enough to short out hot shoe contacts. I'll be putting electrical tape over this right away. Today's cameras do not just fire a flash with the top connectors but send and receive all sorts of data to a flash, so I am not going to risk shorting out any circuits.Would I buy it again? Absolutely yes. I wish it had the GoPro type screw with it and the bottom of the hot show was non-conducive. Then I'd give it 5 stars. So I give it 3.75 stars, and am rounding up.

Solid metal construction. The default screw is an allen key. However the thread is the same as the default gopro screws so I just removed the stock screw and used a long handled gopro one. I give it only 4 starts as this type of screw could have been included with the device.I have not taped the bottom as many have done and I have had no problem with shorting out my flash contacts.

Any time I'm not shooting with a flash or a slave on my hot-shoe, I'm rockin' this jammy with a GoPro atop! Great little bonus vids from every shoot for a lil social media promo action.

I have a 3d printer, and after I ordered this i was so disappointed in myself for not just printing one. When I unboxed it tho it was so surprised by how nice and solid it is.This is a finely machined piece of billet aluminum. Its got a hex screw to attach it to your gopro and a thumb ring to tighten to the hotshoe. Totally secure, very happy.

this is the only solid metal gopro mount I've had the pleasure of using and it worked better than expected. I wasnt worried about my gopro ripping off at all. the bolt thing must have been put on their with voodoo or something. would highly recomend this voodoo

Will not work for the hot-shoe mount for my underwater camera housing. The housing has a hot-shoe mount, but this mount does not allow enough clearance room between the flat slide-mount area to the dial to even get it to slip onto the hot-shoe. I'd give it 5 stars if it actually would fit & be usable. I do not believe this was tested on enough hot-shoe products.

I use this to mount a GoPro to my DSLR. That way I can create a log of what I am photographing (when necessary). I like it a lot.

高さが低いタイプが欲しく希望通りですが締め付ける側にゴムが付いてると完璧でした一般的にはレンズの長いカメラに付けるとレンズが写ってしまうので高さがある方が良いですが、最近はトップハンドル等あるので小型で高さが低い方が扱いやすいです適材適所ですここか要望です逆のバージョンも欲しいです変換したりすると強度が保てません2年前から探してます良くGoProをローアングル撮影する場合、逆さにして撮影ですが何回もやってみると解りますが、レンズが下側で擦ってしまいますケージに入れてコールドシューに延長ロッドって考えたんですがGoProを載せる商品はありますが、アクセサリーを付ける商品は無いです写真はジンバルに延長ロッドつけた例ですこちらの商品にGoProの折りたたみにカメラネジ追加するのを代用し延長ロッド側を逆にしてます逆があると既存のマウントアクセサリーが使えるようになりますぜひお願いします

GoProのHERO4に利用しています。一眼で写真を撮りつつ、同時にGoProで動画を撮るのは、結局どっちつかずになりイメージどおりにいかないことが多いですが、カメラにマウントすれば、被写体を追いかけるのが簡単なので便利です。ただ、レンズによっては、動画に写り込んでしまうことがあるのが難点。

ねじが緩く、しっかりとしめても緩くて、少し動かすだけで倒れます。一眼カメラに装着して、動画+静止画を撮りたかったのですが、これではほとんど使い物になりません。お金の無駄でした。

GoPro Conversion adapter 変換アダプター GoPro(ゴープロ) 用(GP規格)→カメラネジ(1/4) (SSタイプ GP-CN-SS)上記製品と合わせて購入しました。いろんな機材にあわせてマウンターを付け替えて使用したいからでした。「REC-MOUNTS」社製は最近は家電量販店でもいろいろな種類を見かけるようになりましたね。今更ながらいろいろなマウンターを試したくて購入した次第です。製品は完全アルミ削り出し加工です。間違いなくしっかりしています。問題は掲載写真の酷さです。私も「REC-MOUNTS社製の割にはあんか作りが雑っぽいな？」と正直思いました。もっと良い掲載写真に変更するべきです。基本的にシューマウントに設置の際は下側に来る製品です。なので場合によっては上側のマウンターは「とっかえひっかえ」になることも予想されます。その点においてはアルミ製というのは心強いです。多少の手荒な扱いも教養範囲のはずですから。。。-他のレビューにて「ネジが固い」というコメントがいくつかありますがさて「どんなに締めても緩い」よりは確実に固定できる精度の方が断然良いと私は思いましたが？そこそこの重量機器を上側マウンター類に設置する場合ですと、この製品の固定ネジが固くないと正直この製品に信頼を寄せきれません。何かしらの撮影動作中の振動などでゆるんだりなんてことはあってはならないと思うからです。個人的に複数所持していますがアルミのねじ切り部分には何かしらの緩み防止材的なものが入っていると思ったので「緩めて使用するもの」と「購入時の固定されたまま」のものを使い分けています。やはりアルミ本体と固定ネジは金属どうしですから正直ネジの食いつきは悪いはずなのです。当然一度緩めてしまったものは「ネジ止め材」などを使用しない限りガッチリ固定はできないでしょう。まずは購入前に材質からくる性質等にも気を配ることが大切だと思います。
