A Quality Machine, with a Few Minor Issues
This is a well made bike with a few minor annoyances.Pros: Very smooth resistance mechanism, comfortable to use, fairly light and compact (as these things go)Cons: Seat attachment slips, selection of programs and memory lackingThis item needs assembly; it took me just under an hour with a minimum of cursing. Overall its better than ikea furniture. You are supposed to use a torque wrench, but I "guestimated" with no problems. The saddle is very comfortable, and uses a normal bicycle connection so you can use your favorite bicycle saddle if you prefer. The saddle adjusts up and down, tilts, and slides forward and backward. Unfortunately I was not able to fully secure the forward and backwards adjustment no matter how hard I tightened the knob. End result: the saddle would slowly creep forward over time, so that by the end of the workout it was at the full forward position. A piece of duct tape to make the track less slippery solved the problem, but it was annoying that it didn't work right out of the box. Another minor issue is that the bike doesn't save your information (age, preferred settings), so you have to enter them new every time. I don't really care since I usually use manual mode, but it would have been nice. In operation its very quiet, comfortable and smooth, and overall after a month of everyday use I am satisfied. Its quieter, smoother, lighter, and takes up less space than the bike it replaced.
