Good build quality as you'd expect from B&D, great heat output. Points to note: Do not take off the plug as some shall we say, less educated person has written. I guarantee that the people posting burnt plugs have used extensions, I would put my life on this. Do not use extensions with any heater, let alone 3Kw, as long as the fuse is 13 amps, that's all that matters, it will not set on fire used correctly, I have phones that get plugs hotter than this, so I know it's user error. The best way to use this heater for maximum economy is to put it on full, warm the room or space up really warm, then turn the thermostat down until the heater goes off, it will then use very minimum per hour to top up the room heat, this is of course assuming that you have good insulation to start with, if not you're throwing £££££ straight in the bin. Noise wise, it all depends on you nervous disposition, it's no noisier than any other fan heater that's a standard filament type. I wouldn't use the 1500Kw option as it makes no sense, you're saving very little that way, as the heater will work harder to bring up the the room temperature again, so it will run longer and you don't want that. It's -2 at the moment and it's taken 30 minutes to get the large living room to really hot level. Follow these simple rules and you have a great all round way of heating your home.

Heats up the room very quickly. Got a bit noisy after a few days on startup, but quietens down within a few minutes.

It's a higher kilo watt than the other heaters. Choose this one it's more powerful and sturdy. Won't burnt house down. The red hot thing people see is the heating element. How else will it blow hot air? Use your brain people please. And the smell goes afterwards. Let it burst into flames it's ok

Wife is Happy!

The heater itself is great and puts out a lot of heat, without the exterior of the heater unit itself getting hot. The wiring is adequate, too. However, my plug was getting super hot, and the plug pins could burn - they were that hot. This would occur after 10 minutes of use. After some experimentation to check the plug socket were not at fault, I removed the supplied power plug of the unit and fitted another. There is no longer any over heating. I would suggest that you do not buy this product unless you are able to change the plug - it is not a safe product in its current form, and could -potentially- cause a house fire, depending on your luck with the fuse. However, it is a great buy if you are willing to change the plug - which isn't a difficult job!

Thermostat works well, turning off and on to the temperature I have set it to.

This 3 kW fan is the best fan. I’ve had so far I highly recommend it.
