2001 Hallmark Ornament Service Station 18th in Nostalgic Houses and Shops Series

I noted that there are some serious collectors who want the ornament brand new and in a brand new, sealed box. That is fine with me but I buy them to show on a tree dressed with 98% Hallmarks. I do care that the box is in good shape and the ornament in better. This one arrived promptly and as described. I like to get the ornaments that remind me of growing up, friends or family. This one reminds me of my brother, working in a service station around 1967 in the San Francisco bay area. The ornament has really cute features inside and out. Loved it on my tree and like that it was something different within the category of Nostalgic Houses and Shops.Was wondering if a new category of RV's would be fun? I think it would be. Soft side tents, camping items, trailers, 5th wheels, Class A, C. and teardrops could be some of the ornament selections It would be cool to have light features so one could see inside. I now have a lot of houses on the tree and I think my husband would like a new category.

The ornament arrived quickly and was very well packaged in its original box with the original price tag attached. It's nicely detailed with old time gas pumps, among other things. The only strange thing with this issue is that it doesn't have any Christmas decoration on it....not even a wreath over the door. Most of the ornaments in this series have something to indicate it's the Holidays. I'm just curious why Hallmark left the Holiday Season off this ornament in this series....I'm not complaining and am very pleased with my purchase.
