Caleño Dark & Spicy Non‑Alcoholic Spirit 50cl

I wish I could put 0 stars it is truly revolting, its like a sweet syrup with a couple of spices mixed in it , we tried it on its own and with cola , I have noticed with these non alcoholic substituted drinks they are just not good with exception a couple of beers out there yet they aren't cheap

I like rum but I wanted something none alcoholic to try.I got this, the bottle is nice but that’s we’re it stops.I would liken it to a fruit tea. Smells good you are poised and ready to try it, you take a sip.Reaction oooo that’s like drinking cardboard!!This is very much the same. Even with juice or lemonade it still isn’t nice. It actually makes lemonade taste nasty!!! I haven’t met a drink that has done that before. Granted I didn’t have any cola in the house to try the classic style rum and cola but I think I can say. It’s not nice, there’s nothing of rum in it except maybe the bitterness you get with nasty rum.Everyone is different and has different tastes. I haven’t inflicted it on anyone else yet so it just my opinion.If it was cheaper it might get a better wrap but I got it when it was very near the price of something from Captain Morgan.Cordial is better than this.

Bought this as I thought it would be a good alternative to real alchol. Really disappointed.

I bought this as Amazon suggested it to me as a non-alcoholic rum substitute. It was described as 'dark and spicy' so I was thinking it would be along the lines of a dark and spicy rum. I had tried the Caleno Light and Zesty before which was quite a nice sort of gin/vodka substitute with tonic, so I expected this rum substitute to be equally as pleasant. I can't describe how medicinal and gross the flavour is. I mixed it with Coke and also tried mixing it with a spicy ginger beer and both were disgusting. It tastes like something which has gone off....actually garbage juice. It tastes exactly like how I'd imagine garbage juice to taste. The viscosity is nothing like rum, it is the consistency of water and slightly foamy. Super disappointing and it has put me off trying to find a non alcoholic rum substitute because this was really quite expensive and there's no way I can drink any more of it.

Can only say I have never in my life tasted anything as revolting as this. I swear, if this was the only medicine in the world that could save my life, I would spit it out and choose death.

This one product has made me lose faith in the whole review system. This is NOT a NON-ALCOHOLIC RUM. It has no resemblance to any spirit whatsoever and I do not believe it is even distilled.My disappointment started when I opened the package. The bottle is 50cl, please also be aware of this when you start comparing, it slipped past my radar.Then there was the opening of the bottle with it’s cheap lid that gives the impression you are going to get some kind of corked drink.Then the taste - unbelievable, in the worse possible way. It taste like a sarsaparilla squash drink with a hint of some kind of flat cola. No hint of any kind of bite or sharpness or edge or anything. It taste like a diluted squash put in a fancy bottle with a cheap lid put on top.Save yourself some money and by some Vimto or Sarsaparilla squash instead!!

This drink is terrible and I will not purchase it again, it has a strong taste of something similar to anise that just over powers all of the over flavours of citrus that would otherwise make this a pleasant spirit. It is horrible to drink straight and mixing it just spoils whatever you have added it too.

It was promised to be a dark rum drink without the alcohol but all I got was a couple of spices eith no rum flavour. As a previous rum drinker before I passed my driving test then I went tea total but the hype of this drink is a lie and the cost for that is scandalous. I might have well drunk a can of non alcoholic beer and got a case for less money

Alleine aus optischen Gründen brauchte ich sowas für meine Vitrine - ich gebe zu, probiert habe ich ihn noch nicht, es war noch nicht die Gelegenheit da, die Flasche wirkt in der Vitrine aber schon und wird von jedem bemerkt. Ich finde alleine die Idee von 0,0% auch bei Whisky, Gin,....,Wein Unterstützens wert - man braucht den Alkohol aus meiner Sicht nicht. Ich trinke keinen Alkohol und begrüße daher diese Möglichkeit.

Se nota mucho la falta del sabor del alcohol, pero para quien no puede beber alcohol le da un toque bastante interesante.

I personally love this stuff mixed with Zevia ginger ale. Tastes great, looks beautiful (packaging), and arrived in perfect condition.

Piace, anche se non ha nulla a che vedere con un rum comunque per i bevitori di questi alcolici risulta molto gradito

Overpriced and too sweet for my taste
