First good tea from Amazon
I've ordered four different teas and they've all been super disappointing. This shu puehr is the first tea I've got from Amazon that I'm happy with.I'm just starting with puehr but so my frame of reference is limited. But this tea has excellent body, nice silky texture, a robust yet light flavor. And considering it's priced correctly, I won't have to stress out about consuming it all day long.Really happy with it so far.

Good value
This is a nice ripe puerh. It is not a boutique product but it is mild, easy drinking, anytime tea. Good value for the money ($17 for a full cake). I have no complaints at all.

Good to sip while watching Seinfeld
I watched a show with my wife on PBS about ancient teas. Teas have always been interesting to us. There are so many varieties...I think it will take a lifetime to try them all. It all started when we visited Hong Kong and noticed that the world of teas was much wider then we ever thought. Until that time, we had tried flavored teas, but never thought there was much beyond that. Boy, were we wrong. Since our trip, we have sampled a wide variety of teas. We have this evening routine where I fix us a tea beverage to enjoy together before bed. Anyway, the PBS show described a tea cake product that has almost disappeared. Apparently, tea cakes have been around for thousands of years. So, my wife and i decided to give one a try. I did a lot of research and settled on this tea. So, i ordered it. While we were waiting on the tea to arrive, we continued our nightly routine and did oir best to use up as much of our other teas as possible. Finally, this tea arrived. So, after getting home from work, we decided that this would be the night to try this new tea. We got out our cups, boiled the water to the correct temperature, and broke off a portion of the cake. We dropped the portion into our cups and set the timer. I got the tv remote, while we waited, and found Seinfeld. I love that show. Its so funny. We watched part of the episode where George plays the bad boy and Jerry bootleg videos a movie. The guy that plays Brody sort of disappeared from tv in about 2006. Instead of tv, he turned to the stage. Apparently he has done pretty well for himself. The tea timer went off, and we pullled out the grounds. My wife likes milk, no sugar, in her tea, and i like sugar. Really, its truvia that i use. With my diabetes and tuberculosis, i cant have any sugar. We had to let the tea cool for a minute or two. Then we sipped our first experience with tea. We liked it. It was good.

So satisfied! 🤤
Honestly, this tea is delicious. It’s smooth, bodied, and nicely rounded. I understand this is cheaper puerh and a more expensive version may taste more robust. But for this (17.99) price I have not a single tinge of disappointment or let down, or “meh, it’s fine, it’s satisfactory”. I am, ~so happy~ with this tea. I don’t detect bitterness.. I would say, it has the sweetness of browned butter. On my tongue, the smooth texture of butter. I don’t add sweetener. Doesn’t need it at all, and believe me I don’t like bitterness or sourness. A few drops of half and half and I am in bliss. I would totally get this as a gift, feeling confident having sampled it, that I sent them GOOD tea!

It tastes very earthy.
I’m not a real big fan of that earthy taste, I was expecting alittle more, definitely makes me not wanna try better. I’d say just save your money for better tea.

Good Puerh Tea Cake for Tibetan Butter Tea
I have purchased 3 times. I make Tibetan butter tea with it. Here's how: To 24 oz of spring water (two big coffee mugs) add 3 tablespoons of crumbled tea or less and bring to a boil. Let steep over night; then strain and divide into 2 travel mugs. Pour one mug into pot and add 3 oz of whole milk and 2 pats of organic butter and sea salt and bring to a boil (other mug goes in the fridge for tomorrow). A hearty drink for the morning. No use for coffee.

Great tea for the price
Suprisingly rich aroma and flavor for such a low priced tea cake. I ordered a second. Great daily drinker.

Finally got this Puh-Ehr Tea Cake. It's a Cooked Cake, 2018 Production, Expiration is 12-31-2031.
Arrived well packaged and packed, and I'm going to let it "sit" in my house for a few months, to let it get acclimated to it's new home. I want it to be Temperature Stabilized, first, before being further Processed. It came in a very nice Wrapper. Of course, I cannot comment on any of it's Attributes, since you cannot evensee what this Cake looks like, let alone it's Taste, Aroma, Color, etc, or how good it really is. An effective Plastic Bag barrier exists, to prevent any Human Contact, so I'm going to let it stay that way, for now. I'll update this review, after I finally do get to perform a Taste Testing, and will share it's results after that.
