Nice to have something basically work exactly as advertised!
I live in a part of town that has almost exclusively parallel parking. So getting bumper protection was an absolute must when I bought my new black car. It was almost scary looking around and seeing car after car of scoffed and scratched bumpers. This thing works like a charm. The extra padding is well worth the money as it definitely provides an extra layer of padding and protection. In fact, for the most part, rear bumpers seem to get hit by a parallel parker's front bumper license plate, which tends to jut out a bit. The extra padding makes sure that even a more forceful bump won't leave a single ding or scratch. The bumper bully attaches very easily via velcro straps to the floor of my trunk and couldn't be easier to use. Now there are a couple of shortcoming. First, the bully only covers the majority of the rear bumper (I have a mid-size sedan) and importantly the edges of the bumper are not covered. And for parallel parkers, that is typically where a person will scratch your car as they pull out of the spot behind you. I really wish they had a version that had more coverage and I know there are other bumper protectors that wrap around your entire bumper. Second, you absolutely should not drive around with the bumper bully out on your bumper. Outside of looking somewhat dorky, it will flap in the wind and the straps that attach it to the trunk will actually scratch your bumper paint over time if you drive with it. I accidentally did this a couple of times and the place where the strap connects to the bumper bully actually started tearing a bit as well. It's something to keep in mind because if you want to have the bumper bully out before you park (e.g. you're trying to park in a tight spot and may hit the car behind) then you have to stop the car, get out, get the bumper bully out and then park - sort of a hassle if you do it enough times. But overall, this is a fantastic investment that keeps my car looking brand new!

Absorbed all of the rear impact!
My son just called to tell me how incredible this product is, thus I must pass the story along. He and his gf were just rear ended this morning by a Jeep Cherokee going approx. 20-25 mph & the bumper buddy absorbed the entire hit. He is flabbergasted and OH SO HAPPY that I decided to purchase this for him (back in 2021 mind you) when he was traveling to & staying in Brooklyn while dating his ex gf. He had a few minor dings here and there while parked but never incurred damage due to the bumper buddy. And while that’s awesome… getting a call, post a pretty gnarly rear end hit, to thank me again for buying this product years ago, and hearing that his used suv is still in the same pretty good shape it was prior to the hit makes me feel just a little bit better about him out there driving. Thank you bumper buddy! No joke. This product is a beast. GREAT GIFT FOR YOUR KIDS OR YOURSELF!

Sturdy, Easy to Install, Covers 80% of the Bumper
Pros: Easy to install - The bumper bully itself hangs from long seatbelt quality strips. These strips have velcro on one side. The kit comes with additional strips with velcro on one side and a pretty strong adhesive on the other. You stick these inside the car which gives you the surface that you velcro the bumper bully strips to (velcro on velcro). It also allows for some adjustment because the velcro portion of the strips is fairly long and you can attach anywhere. The challenge here would be if your trunk is lined with carpeting (or similar) you won't have a surface to stick the velcro fasteners to. And Velcro on carpeting doesn't generally work well - you need velcro on velcro (male to female if you will). Ensure you have a metal or plastic surface inside your trunk to glue the velcro strips to. Very Sturdy - while obviously not full bumper quality, these should provide protection from not only scrapes and scratches but even the dents that may result from minor bumps as well. I haven't tested this but I certainly get the impression that it will help avoid some physical damage. I've seen other Bumper Bully knock-offs (I'm talking to you Bumper Badger) that look as if they're more like flimsy floor mats and hang precariously from the bumper. This also will not sag like I've seen others do. Holds its shape very well. Cons: Does not cover the full bumper. These are designed to help with straight-on taps / collisions. But don't really do much to help with scratches to the corners of bumpers that can result from parallel parking. (this is what ultimately prevents me from giving it 5 stars). In other words, this works great when you're already in the spot and are not QUITE sure how far back you can go befo- Oh there it is! However,a wider Bumper Bully would probably have some aerodynamic issues while driving. Still think it's worth the investment - you just need to hope that the guy/girl behind you gives themselves that extra inch clearance as they pull out of the parallel parking spot instead of scraping the corner of your bumper on the way out. This will do nothing to protect against that. Update: Lately I've been putting this out for parking only and putting it back in the trunk before driving. It fits in the trunk pretty nicely assuming you don't have it packed with other stuff. However - Recently got a nasty series of scratches and dings on the rear passenger side bumper WITH this on. As mentioned before - it DOES NOT protect from common parallel parking corner scrapes.

The Best One Among the Ones I Looked At
Very sturdy and with everything you need to set it up in your car. Caution: put it back in the truck before driving away, as when it flaps while riding can damage your paint.

This may be why it says “does not fit vehicle“
Now I see why it says it won’t fit my vehicle! Measurements wise, it was a perfect fit! I have a hatchback so it would not cover the license plate. The issue is that it hangs over the back up sensors. I have a backup camera, but every time I go in reverse, my car is yelling at me that I am ready to hit something. I tried driving down the road with it a bit, and heavy wind. It was flapping up and down. Didn’t bother me too much, but I don’t want it to scratch the paint. Someone said when it arrived, it was folded in half and the crease made it hard for the bumper to lay flat. Mine was also delivered folded, but there was no crease and there was no problem laying it flat. I just got the black edition maybe that edition unfold better. It looks really nice, the Velcro does indeed stick to my trunk floor material really well, and I have a rubber protector sitting on top of it all so I don’t even see the straps. I like it I like it a lot, I will just have to fold it away into the trunk when it’s time to drive. Which I guess is what you are supposed to do anyway. In which case… What am I saying… It absolutely does fit my 2025 Honda Civic sport touring hatchback! It covers the sensors, but you won’t need those sensors when your car is sitting parked.

Great protection.
great addition to my car. love the durability and protection, especially in NYC. If you live in the city, or even in the suburbs, you may know the pain of somebody hitting your prized-possessionBumper Guards for Cars Gold Edition Bumper Bully Extreme Mounted View car in the back while parking and not owning up to it. If this is a risk for you then you probably really need one of the rear bumper guards for cars. Without one you end up with damage on your car to repair. It’s not going to be free because you have a deductible to pay, it’s a real pain because it takes time and is never convenient, and it may also raise your insurance rates costing you even more money. If you’re not familiar with bumper guards for cars, they are a lot different than in the old days. Rear bumper guards for cars are now highly sophisticated protectors for the rear bumper that are made of high-tech materials to safely protect your rear bumper from the taps you may get while others are parking. Plus, they detach easily to place in your trunk out of the way while driving.
