Won't Work In SR45.
This appears to be a good value for the money, especially considering the cost of the replacement end caps, but it is not usable in my Ruger SR45 as, once fired, the firing pin remains all of the way forward until the gun is readied so the laser remains on instead of pulsing once. UPDATE: (Added two stars.) I upgraded to a Logitech C270 camera, and Shootoff now detects the shots just fine even with the long laser pulse. With my son's 1911, the shots are a bit low and to the right (with three different shooters), but when checked with a boresight, the sights were perfectly centered. I checked the cartridge in a V-block, and the laser dot did not move as I rotated the cartridge.

GUN SAFETY AT ALL TIMES!!!!
It works! Fun to use in the garage, set up a lot of target's! Wife likes it also a big plus. The targets are kinda pricey but save on ammo so it's kind of a win! A good way to go from target to target without having to kill your firing pin! And still have fun, tone skills, save money on ammo. And you can do it in your basement or garage. The only sound in less you get the target's that make noise that are really cool, is the hammer when you pull the trigger. Shot my .45 over 500 e-rounds have not a had a issue!! Gave friend's birthday gifts they love them!9mm & .45! IT would really cool if they came out with more target's!

380 and the 45 cartridges at the same time and really like them both
As someone who has been using a similar product costing almost twice as much and using proprietary o-rings to hold it in place for years, I give this laser cartridge from Impulse USA 5 stars. It works perfectly and is no harder to remove from the chamber than the more expensive one. Also there are no o-rings to loosen or break as mine have done in the past and then have to call the company for more as they are not standard. I purchased both the .380 and the 45 cartridges at the same time and really like them both.

Well built, Works well- only one hitch
There is no O-ring with this one so when I rack the slide occasionally it comes loose (usually stays partially within the chamber). I feel this is not a deal killer, but others I've purchased others with O-rings (.380 and 9mm) work flawlessly. I could not find a .45 with an O-ring if you do get it, if not I feel this one will satisfy.

Great Product
Excellent training tool when combined with the accompanying target. It quit after a few days. I shook the device on the long axis and could hear the batteries rattling. So I gently pulled on the spring inside to lengthen it and it started working again. So I absolutely love the concept, but I'm I bit worried about the execution. Considering the cost of 45 ammo it wouldn't have to last long to be worthwhile.

OK but Not Great
I first received the Tactical Training Laser Cartridge (TTLC) as a gift for Christmas. It worked well for a few weeks, then began either not working or staying on all the time. After two months it failed entirely.I decided to give it another chance, and bought another one. This one appears to be working well, but does not appear to project the beam consistently along the same line of sight. By that I mean that with the pistol in the same position, the beam strikes different areas for consecutive shots. The variation is only an inch or less at 12 feet, but enough that I only hit the button-size center of my laser target by accident. It's close enough for self-defense work, but the first TTLC, the one that failed, was much more consistent.I like the concept, and it has saved me a lot in terms of ammo and time to the range, but for the price I had hoped for better quality control.

and they fit much better. The 9mm stopped working for a few minutes
I purchased the .45 and the 9mm at the same time. Although they are the same diameter as live round, they fit somewhat loosely in my pistols. I wrapped each with one pass of scotch tape, and they fit much better. The 9mm stopped working for a few minutes, then started functioning again with no obvious cause. The .45 will feed from a magazine, but the 9mm must be chambered by hand.At this point (first day), I'm happy with the product.
