Portioned steam baskets for a plate of food. Ta Da!
There are choices for steamers. I have not liked all that I have used. These Joseph Joseph nesting steamers are perfect for me and I am glad I found them. They are sized for small servings. I put, for instance, raw broccoli in the big one, cut carrots in the little one, and leftover pasta in the medium one. Use either parchment or aluminum foil to line the basket for pasta or mashed potato or anything that is wet or saucy. Steam gets everything hot and moist. Makes a plate of food with one pot and three easy-to-clean baskets. I ordered two sets and use my Magna cookware from this site to steam my meal. The lid doesn't keep all of the steam in the pot but that doesn't matter to me.
