Can this fit into a 5.5 deep socket dome clamp lamp? it is also by zoomed.

I know this question is old but just for people's reference since it's the top question... *IF* you're talking about what Zoo Med calls their "MINI Deep Dome" (or Dual MINI Deep Dome) which is 5.5" deep domes, and the bulb in question is one of their own "Mini" UVB CFLs (the 13 watt ones) then it's all part of their "Mini" line and will work together. Just like their "Nano" domes and "Nano" bulbs... And further, these Zoo Med Mini CFLs (13 watt) will just barely fit in /some/ standard (non-deep) 8.5" domes (your generic clamp lamp size) and are a bit too tall for others. If whatever dome you're using has just over 4" from the socket edge to the rim-line you should be good. The total bulb length including the base is about 5 and 1/8 inches, and about 4" is what sticks out above the socket... give or take. At least one of these other answers appears to be referencing the full size Zoo Med UVB CFLs (26 watt) which are longer. And contrary to what someone above said the Zoo Med "Mini" line of deep domes may not be full size 8.5" deep domes but they are absolutely deep domes, just the 5.5" variety... 4+ inches deep to the socket edge, deeper than a standard 5.5" dome. Most 5.5 inch domes in the reptile hobby are "deep" to some extent... Not as deep as an 8.5" deep dome but as deep as an 8.5" standard dome.

Is this for leopard geckos?

leopard geckos , you need to learn so google care sheet and read lighting listed. They dont get uvb . they like dark. infrared , be easy on the bright

Does it work with a dimmer?

Not designed for use with a dimmer, that being said it will work with a dimmer but bulb life will be greatly reduced...

can this fit in a 51/2 dome light?

Maybe. It all depends on how you have the dome light. The bulb is not that long, but if its on top of the animals home it would not. If the light is hanging than yes, there is a possibility. I hope this answers help.

Reliable and bright

These are perfect for my snakes, I have them set up on a timed power strip and they always flip on in the morning. I’ve only had to replace one in the past year so I’d say it’s a good quality bulb. My snakes like them and sit under them in the day so no complaints on functionality and quality. The price is reasonable compared to other sellers and fit perfectly in my dome lamp.

Great mini bulb for my geckos mini lamp!

Mini bulb for the mini lamp to keep my gecko warm at night even when it’s supposed to be “cool” . Keeps a smaller area warm which is perfect for night time. I keep my setup on a timer and thermostat and this small one gives me reassurance he’s not going to be too hot at night when the thermostat kicks on, because it’s a smaller lamp.

Best thing is the bulb didn’t arrive broken like many of their others products have in the past. The light lasts a very long time as it’s supposed to be changed out every 6-8 months . My turtle has no problem eating and shell so hard it’s die for.
